Reminder Dear Juniors and Seniors,
We have partnered with Career Services to give our junior and senior majors access to Wildcat Joblink. Wildcat JobLink is a state-of-the-art career management tool, offering UA students access to jobs, internships, and a range of other services including campus interviewing and resume referrals.
To access JobLink, please visit the Career Services website at https:// www.career.arizona.edu/joblink. All you need is your NETID and password to login and take advantage of these great services.
Why is SGPP only funding juniors and seniors to have access to JobLink? The funding comes from SGPP Program Fees, which only our junior and senior majors pay. If you are a freshman or sophomore, you are welcome to register and pay the annual $5 fee out of pocket. Visit https:// www.career.arizona.edu/joblink to register.
I will be a junior at the end of the current semester. When can I have access? SGPP will be requesting access for any students who have reached 60+ credits each semester after the census date (the 21st day of the semester). So, if you will have 60+ completed credits at the end of this semester, you will be granted access next semester after the census date. If you have any questions, please email ahackett@email.arizona.edu. SGPP Undergraduate Newsletter Page 4

Fellowship Opportunity Environment America 2016 Fellowship Program Environment America runs campaigns to tackle global warming, stop fracking and protect the places we love. And we’re hiring. Early application deadline - Oct. 25 Apply at jobs.environmentamerica.org Right now, we’re hiring entry-level staff looking to kick start their career in environmental action and advocacy through our fellowship program and for people to help run our digital campaigns. We take pride in being strategic and disciplined—and in hiring a team with the grit it takes to get things done. That’s how we approach each of our campaigns, whether we’re defending President Obama’s Clean Power Plan against coal industry attacks or convincing more communities and companies to go solar. BE AN ENVIRONMENT AMERICA FELLOW Imagine yourself organizing a town hall meeting on solar power. Or imagine releasing a hard-hitting research report on power plant pollution. Or picture yourself building a community coalition around clean water or fracking. Imagine building the organizational power—the funds, the membership, the activist base and so on—that it takes to keep all of this critical work going for the long haul.
All of this is what you do as an Environment America fellow. Because this is how we build the support it takes to reduce global warming pollution, create more solar and wind power, spare our parks and forests from fracking, keep our beaches, rivers and streams clean, and protect our wildlife and wild places. Is it easy? No, we’re up against some wily opponents who are incredibly well-funded. Is it rewarding? Absolutely. And given global warming, fracking and all of the tough problems we’re facing right now, can you imagine doing anything more urgent and meaningful? BE A DIGITAL CAMPAIGNER Work with one of our campaign teams to run a powerful digital campaign to help solve global warming, expand solar energy or protect clean water. You’ll write emails and campaign actions that you’ll send to hundreds of thousands of supporters; design and curate content for social media, and engage with our national community; coordinate with our field team of five to nine campaign organizers, and back them up with emails, web pages and digital strategy; develop partnerships and creative online tactics to build our audience and raise money; analyze the results of your work, and report on successes and failures; and keep your projects on track, hold people accountable to their deliverables, and communicate regularly with your team. LOCATIONS Positions available in Washington, D.C.; Boston, MA; Denver, CO; Philadelphia, PA; Portland, OR; Raleigh, NC. SALARY & BENEFITS Salary for this position is $25,500 in the first year and $27,000 in the second year. Environment America offers a competitive benefits package. We also offer an excellent training program and advancement opportunities. TO LEARN MORE AND APPLY jobs.environmentamerica.org Environment America is an equal opportunity employer and will not discriminate against any employee or applicant on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, religion, age, sex, handicap, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity or veteran status.

Announcements Pride Alliance is hosting the 9th Annual “Out and Proud” ad project as a part of Coming Out Week 2015 Pride Alliance is hosting the 9th Annual “Out and Proud” ad project as a part of Coming Out Week 2015. This is a two-page center spread in the Daily Wildcat celebrating the out and proud LGBTQA+ and allied members of our university. We need you to help us reach our goal of beating last year's 1100 published names! Please send your name in today and get all your friends and colleagues to as well. We are especially hoping to collect the names of more allies than ever. It's very meaningful to publish your name as a LGBTQA+ student or as an ally so that we can continue to foster an inclusive environment on campus. Thank you in advance for making such a bold statement and including your name in this year’s ad! The heading of the ad will read: “We are your friends, classmates, professors, colleagues, coworkers, and health providers, and we are OUT and PROUD. We are just a few of the talented and committed lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, asexual, and allied (LGBTQA+ and allied) individuals who contribute to the diversity and success of the UA community. We invite you to join us in celebrating Coming Out Week 2015!” This will be followed by an OUT List with your names, titles and departmental information. There will be separate sections for Faculty/Staff, Students, Alumni, and Allies. Please submit your name and information to this unprecedented effort no later than Monday, October 5th by 11:59pm. To sign up, please Click Here! If you have submitted your name in the past, we ask that you submit it again (we know it can be annoying to submit it every year, but we have to recollect names annually in case folks no longer are able to be “out” or their status changes). It's important because we have new people on campus, and it also helps us make this list the biggest yet! Thanks in advance for your support, and keep an eye out on Monday, October 12th for the spread in the Daily Wildcat :) "We cannot seek achievement for ourselves and forget about progress and prosperity for our community...Our ambitions must be broad enough to include the aspirations and needs for others, for their sakes and for our own." – Cesar Chavez
