Contents
Animate Inanimate 01 exercise
Understanding an object as a constructed artifact through a series of drawings capturing animation
Section cut drawing was the result of patent research to grasp the idea of its inner workings
Movement of a carbainer that you would commonly see a rock climber use when connecting a carabiner to a harness
Emphasis placed on hinge points- one where the carabiner is turned down wards in an attempt to bring it towards a harness and another hinge point where the actual mechanism is pressed inward to allow the harness inside, then springing back to lock the harness inside the carabiner

Exploration of part-to-whole relationships using spatial mapping in 2D to 3D translations simultaneously

Case Studies 04 research
House with One Wall
A three level house built with a glass exterior and one solid wall running through the center of each level.

Christian Kerez sculptor
Explores the fundamental forces of structural principles. His interests lie mainly in durability, load bearing capacity, and stabilization of dimensional objects. He investigates architecture at its core conditions through the art of sculpture.

Iterations to Final Concept 05 project
The case studies became the foundation and inspiration for this structure
Technically “The House with One Wall“ has three seperate walls. There is a seperate wall on each level that runs its own course. Trying to keep the integrity of the logic, one wall, I combined each of the walls from a very basic section cut of the house to create a seemless wall.
