Developing ideas

This design idea allows for there to be plenty of different configurations just like the bar diagram but in a more unique way.

This design was many inspired by the compound line graph as it looks like the lines are overlapping each other and I felt that the graph would make for a distinctive design.

The array of heights allow for different formats of shapes and therefore allow for the building to take on multiple sizes and still maintain a similar structure which is something I thought could be adapted into my final design.

Exterior view (outside area)

I decided that I wanted to incorporate aspects from all three designs.

Each floor was of different heights which was taken from design idea 1 and 3 as this allowed for me to fit the building into the brief of simple or complex by creating three simple connected sections but making it more complex by making each section fit a different aspect of my ideas.

This included the general shape of the Venn diagram design allowing for me to create multiple sections with symmetry.

Middle floor (silent group-work zone)

Each room allows for the users to have a more quiet area for people to revise/work and I feel my design has definitely adapted to the brief in order to work.

My middle floor design allows for people to sit both in the rooms and also sit outside on the table as I wanted this area to be more for smaller groups and for people who want to have some quiet time which I feel I have achieved.

Ground floor (louder work zone)

The ground floor was meant for the louder groups, for example school kids, this allows for the groups to be separate and therefore this means that groups can hang out and still achieve the goal of the building which is to provide a place for people in the area to have a place other than their home to work.
