OF MARKETS & CO-WORKING SPACES Polyphony of formal and informal In Tagore Park, Gandhi Bazaar
TEMPORARY PAVILION UNIT has couple of steps landing to a circular platform with a diameter appropriate to the activity it caters to ( flower vendor, fruits, vegetables, pooja items, banana leaves,. etc) There is s stem of 30cm diameter with chute inside wherein degradable waste is directed in through an opening resembling the hollow of a tree.
Project : Redesigning Tagore Park in Gandhi Bazaar to house temporary and permanent programs.
The design does a take on co-working spaces involving the established street vendors, hawkers of Gandhi Bazaar in the temporary pavilions which adapts at night to become lighting installations. It is custom built to resolve problems of garbage management and waste removal. The Permanent Pavilion houses an open air and closed co_working space catering to the formal work systems. 2

REVIVING MILLER’S TANK AND, READING In Tagore Park, Gandhi Bazaar
Libraries are architectural typologies that have been the cultural torchbearers since time immemorial. It is a building where people collectively do something individual. Architecturally, it is a
phenomenon where everyone wants to create themselves a private domain, even if only for a very limited time. Place-making is an important act for the user.
6
P R O C E S S 7
Through the library, the design tries to revive the long forgotten Miller’s tank that once was nestled in the site. The tank stretches throughout the site and the overflow pipes connect to Sankey tank. The library is built atop the tank making it look like its floating. The reflections from the water and the tranquility of the program provide for a thriving city library and to bring back citizens to the habit of reading .

connecting city & art via campus
In bangalore football stadium, ashok nagar
SITE The site is within an overall triangular piece of land, flanked by main roads on all three sides. There is a football ground in between the site which has a maximum capacity of 13000 people. On the south side of the site is General K S Thimmaiah Road, which has Kendriya Vidyalaya on the other side, whose boundary wall runs all along without breaks. On the north side is Hosmat junction, Hosmat hospital, Embassy Heights and the Syrian Church. Where Primrose Road branches off from Magrath road, there is a bus stop. The road to the east of the side connects Garuda Mall and Lifestyle.

P R O The design aims to integrate the football stadium thats a part of the site and bridge the disconnect between the city and the art world through the ‘chitra santhe’, open galleries and sculpture gardens in the underside of the otherwise unused stadium.

CREATIVE
COLLABORATION
The studios are planned in a way that there is cross-fertilization of ideas between the the different creative branches in the campus (mainly courses under B.Des and B.FA). •
Vertical studios
• Studios without walls rather movable partions made of bamboo to increase porosity in terms of ventilation and exchange of ideas. MASTERPLAN OF CAMPUS

SECTION ACROSS ENTRANCE
TYPICAL SECTION OF CLASSROOMS AND STADIUM
The rationale behind the design is to understand the new conceptions of the campus –ranging from forms of spatial organization that incepts internal & external knowledge transfer and social interaction, to explore the perception of creating new spaces (formal & informal) of learning, & how learning can be interactive, evolving & responsive to society’s ever changing demands.

bus stop design expressing constructivism
C
ONSTRUCTIVIST
architecture is characterised by a combination of modern technology and engineering methods and the socio-political ethos of Communism. The style incorporated straight lines, cylinders, cubes and rectangles; and merged elements of the modern age such as radio antennae, tension cables, concrete frames
Building on the understanding of these -ISM’S (here constructivism) in architecture a bus stop is designed that expresses the style of constructivism. • Straight lines • Exposed concrete on tension cables • concrete frames • steel girders • plain functional 16

neighbourhood learning center In Basavanagudi
To design a single building institute/learning center for an urban neighborhood. The core requirements of the institute will be class rooms, workshops, vocational training center and library/ reading rooms along with support facilities such as cafeteria, admin etc.
The structure flanks the existing thoroughfare of the site along which bamboo canopies are erected with seating below inspired by kattes for travellers to take a breather in shade.
