My work relates to the colonial preconceived stereotypes of black women. The modern day black woman. People tend to underestimate the struggles and hardships that black women go through because they don’t understand the intersectionality of being black AND being a woman at the same time. My project focuses on the struggles and personal triumphs that come with being a black woman.
