SUMMARY

FREELANCE EXPERIENCE

My ability to create makes possible the manifestation of what I envision. Graphic Design is the outlet through which I speak, envision, and execute. My process begins with exterior inspirations before leading to hand-drawn conceptualization that is actualized in digital format. Connecting myself to the piece kinetically allows me to bring a sense of self to everything I create.

It’s about the impression. what am i, who am i, and what can i do for you. there is power in the name but heart in the visuals. A brand is distinguised from a commodity through user perceptions and feelings about the product as well as its performance. the brand ultimately resides in the psyche of the consumer. brands aren’t arbitrary signs but evolve as their material condition, meaning, and use changes. A careful, tedious relationship is continuously developed as a creator marries consumer ,manufacturer, agency, vendor, and designer. The spoils of choice are overwhelming. Thus, their creators must remember that its not about the competitor. it’s the company, its clients, and its product. the life of it all exists in the Identity systems

DINNERSCAPE Dinnerscape is a collaborative artist in residence/ pop-up restaurant in Bozeman, MT designed to merge the neighboring worlds of fine dining and art. By providing a conceptually devised space coproduced by a group of artists, it realizes a contemporary dining experience that marries visionary perspective and epicurean pursuits. Dinnerscape brings together artists from various specialties for a collective dive into a space where the artistic ego is checked at the door, and innovation is derived through process driven work and open expression.

ROTHERHAM CONSTRUCTION One of Montana’s premir construction firms, Rotherham aims to provide personality and detail to each brick and mortor implementation. To match this level of dedication to craft they desired a new identity to present cliental with their strength and confidence.

OUT OF BOUNDS Big Sky Resort has countless retailers all aiming to sell you the same shit. Hats, mug for mom, and a cheesy t-shirt for the significant other. Not only do they all sell the same, they all look the same. Out of Bounds offered me the opportunity to break some boundaries and bring a higher, cleaner level of design to the resort while maintaining true to its foundation.

It’s connected worlds, forged alliances, developed society, and given Silent pleasure. THe arrangement of elements may seem obvious to the viewer but are a complex relationship for the creator. Publications and layouts guide the mind while indulging the eye. words can always be read but are only understood when effectively absorbed. Publications connect time to place with thought. Written, sketched, devised, and executed. It explores all the issues that influence the complexity of publication design, including transport and display, sustainability, and the impact of massive advances in technology. From hand-placed lead letters to InDesign, its all about the content and the publication design

DINNERSCAPE LOOKBOOK These are examples of spreads from a lookbook I created for a local pop-up resturant project called Dinnerscape. The focus was to capture the creative process and exemplify the personalities of the artists involved. The book was offered as a selective gift for donators and was on display for my thesis exhibition.

PLACES TO EAT, DRINK & HANG OUT LIKE A LOCAL IN THE UNDERGROUND

(A.K.A LONDON)

W

e get it. You got it figured out. Big Ben, The London Bridge, some tea, fish n’ chips, and some time merely listening to the accents. Boosting a title as possibly the greatest city in the world doesn’t simply come from the postcards. Its the foundation. Or in this case, the basement. Get the Visa out ‘cuz your about to book your next vacay to the UK.

THE ELGIN Right off Ladbroke Grove Station and nestled between the elegant history of Notting Hill, The Elgin is a must for a drink. Whether its the ideal British cider or a heavy brew, it all pairs with classical themed cuisine--bangers and mash, that is. The atmosphere evokes the laid back aura of the town with a miss-match of furniture and musician collectables. The Elgin would not be listed had it not acquired such a perfect stage for entertainment. Musicians not only invite you to the U.K but bring you home.

MILK & HONEY This may be the prime time place to be with a membership scheme is not a traditional one - there are no formal vetting and approval procedures, no referees or contacts required. In short, nothing wanky. Just apply. Act like a grown up and you can enjoy easy late drinking in London in the atmosphere of the refined.

THE MAYOR OF SCAREDY CAT TOWN You enter a basement through a 1950’s Smeg fridge. How can you not want to go here? Inside you’ll find a moodily-lit cocktail bar that has exposed brickwork, an air of exclusivity, some great music and a wide selection of cocktails (from the Rosie and Gin to the Linchberg-Leith Lemonade). But before you join the thrills of a traditional speakeasy, equipped with minimal lighting against brick walls, you must know the code. Make your way to the Breakfast Club (also listed here) and ask your waiter to see the Mayor. You’ll get the nod and be one your way drinkin’ and swingin’. Taylor-Ann Smith

DANE’S YARD KITCHEN Dane’s Yard Kitchen is the newest addition to the Stratford restaurant scene. During the summer months, sit in our spectacular outdoor space and admire the magnificent ‘Strand East Tower’. The main restaurant features exposed brickwork, an open kitchen alongside rich leather upholstered cosy booths, creating a sense of warmth, whilst retaining the industrial rawness of the original warehouse.

BUMPKIN This is truly a situation in which the name says it all. Bumpkin grasps its feel from cozy couches as table settings and eclectic menu. We’re talking ox cheeks with bone marrow. Outlandish yes, but this restaurant is focused on authentic, seasonal British food. The open plan allows you to watch the chefs prepare a meal of prime ingredients and feel right at home on the farm. After your organic fix, Bumpkin offers a range of retail from British rapeseed oil to biodynamic wines. Leave the city lights, cozy up to warm food, and drink with family.

CRATE BREWERY CRATE is Hackney Wick’s first craft brewery and pizzeria, situated canalside in a former print factory. Built, owned and operated by locals, the converted industrial interior is one of a kind and has been crafted with reclaimed materials from around the Wick. Basically CRATE offers great craft beer, custom pizzas, and a location you can’t beat.

CAMDEN TOWN There’s a mind-bending mix of eclectic, intriguing and unique experiences in London’s Camden Town. The labyrinthine open-air markets and myriad retail outlets of Camden will keep the keenest shoppers busy, with everything from vintage luggage to futuristic hoodies. Let’s just assume you won’t be bored here.

Let me just start by saying that Graffik Gallery not only exhibits pieces by Banksy but also offers graffiti workshops in the same space. How could you not feel those creative juices flowing? Graffik Gallery, in the heart of Notting Hill, is a stunning creative space owned by self-confessed devotees of street art, designed with exhibiting street arts in mind. The infiltration of urban culture is huge, and it’s influencing everything from skateboard design to high fashion. The gallery is a part of the urban art movement itself and is constantly swarming with artists with a thirst for collaboration, creativity and the possibility of expressing themselves freely on the walls of Graffik’s Urban Yard.

draw something. anything. no matter what you draw with what utensil or inspiration you and i will never be the same. our hands our driven by our hearts. our minds are simply the gears. Drawing was my formal introduction to the realm of art. to this day, it is my cathartic release. because whether you may not understand my words, manners, or actions, you can always look at my pen work and take it for what it is. There are no explanations, bullshit sales, or self exploration when it comes to line work. it is what it is. me. pixels, points, and picas are all the same but nothing can touch the unique strokes of Illustration

EXPERIENCE BADGES This trio of sketches depict my perspectives from my time spent living in Italy. They show my disdain in a manner much softer than my words. My pen work allowed me to have a cathartic experience throughout their development.

Our minds wander and our hearts ache. We never really know what we’re searching for but something is out there to fulfill it. Problem is, you don’t know what that is until you try everything foreign to you. I constantly find myself adrift in my personal fantasies, never truly knowing what i’m missing. while this may make constantly chasing, it also makes me arduously craving solutions. it is here that i find the purist parts of myself. what i cannot unveil in vectors or pen, i seek in alternative media. i don’t consider myself multi-faceted by any means--rather multidimensional. i see myself and my reality in various, unique versions of Self exploration
