Individual Project
SITE PLAN YES : HOPE Youth Employment/Educational Success: Housing Opportunities & Professional Engagement This project is for the site in Highland Park along York Blvd and Avenue 56 in the City of Los Angeles. It is important to connect high school students and young aspiring professionals to employment and housing opportunities, especially in communities of color where these kids have a higher likelihood of becoming first generation college students and professionals. It can be challenging to introduce youth to networking experiences and employment when the community does not have a designated youth engagement and employment center. YES:HOPE and The CATCH will be created with the sole purpose of fulfilling these community needs, while also stimulating economic development into the area with ground floor commercial and retail and optimally designed open space. The CATCH is a unique housing village built to reflect the unique and different ways in which we live today. In partnership with YES:HOPE, The CATCH offers a variety of housing choices. From apartments to bungalows, shared living to micro-units - a diverse menu of options awaits every lifestyle and generation. It’s convenient location across the street from YES:HOPE provides easy access to your employment and educational needs. This, paired with our housing office’s theme week every month and biweekly movie nights promises fun social activities and active community living. Access to amenities like retail, healthy food choices, and ample open space help create the perfect workhome balance.

KEY ISSUES
Resilient Economic Growth Site Analysis Looking at the site holistically, there were key issues that were identified, as shown above. Post the site analysis, the result was: • How can we better interconnect transition areas? • How can we preserve the cultural identity of our study area?
• How can we keep our study area economically sustainable in the long-term?
Fashion District, Historic Core, South Park DTLA The Resilient Economic Growth Project aims at the rehabilitation of the Los Angeles Downtown, focusing on the transition spaces between Fashion District, Historic Core and South Park subdivisions. The area comprises of parts of the upcoming South Park developments along Hill

Street, transitional Fashion District areas surrounding Santee Alley and the historic Broadway Street.
Proposed Strategies To achieve the goals, the team focuses on three main intervention areas, namely: • Olympic Boulevard and the Broadway/Olympic Intersection for Goal 1 • Los Angeles Street and Santee Street for Goal 2 • The area around Cecilia Street for Goal 3 Although the population is expected to increase by 50% by 2023, approximately 4,000 parking spaces will stand underutilized. Our parking strategy proposes to minimize the gap and reduce the supply by 58% because the demand will further decrease over the years given this is a Transit Oriented Community and public transit will become more dominant.

Development Plan for Nadiad
Proposed Zoning Plan for Nadiad The main aim behind zoning was to provide a special industrial zone so as to protect the natural resources. Secondly, to organize the growth in all directions rather than concentrating it along the North-South spine. Also, strengthening the connectivity on the dependent villages was one of the factors to be considered. Lastly, as everything was being looked at with an environmental lens, the objective was to ensure that all the zones respect the urban, living and natural environment.

Proposed Road Network
Urban environment consisting of the built form, land use regulation; Living environment consisting of the living

conditions of people, their social interactions, quality of life; and Natural environment consisting of the pollution control, conservation of natural resource. The main aim of this vision is to intervene in areas which the market would not cater to. Our belief is that as planners our role is to improve the living conditions of the people as well as take environment into consideration by enhancing various things that market would not invest in as it is not profitable for them.

Ahmedabad Cross Section
This is snaps out of a 9 meter long document that I had worked on. It encompasses the entire cross-section of the City of Ahmedabad. It dossier captures the character of Ahmedabad across a 9-meter cross section of the city and shows the paradoxes that exist due to its urban character. It was done for Archiprix ‘17 Workshops held at CEPT University, Ahmedabad in 2017. This document was prepared to give all the visitors and participants of Archiprix, an overview of the city to help them enjoy the host city and navigate through the local area based workshops. The full dossier can be looked at https:// vimeo.com/211629927; https://vimeo. com/211630183.
