XP18 Spyder
Freedom in thought, freedom in action The XP 18 Spyder is identical to the proven, decked XP 18 in all aspects but the cockpit. The XP 18 Spyder enjoys all its characteristics. It’s fast and stable while highly maneuvrable. A lean, mean, touring machine. The XP 18 Spyder has exceptional glide, consuming mile after mile with little effort. The combination of both speed and stability makes the XP 18 Spyder truly unique. With its open cockpit, it is one of a kind! Magnus de Brito, using highly advanced hydrodynamic design technology, combined with experience and extensive testing, has managed to create a unique craft that is faster than most, while comfortably stable even in the roughest conditions. The open cockpit gives it the same advantages as a surfski without the drawbacks. Great primary and secondary stability offers beginners and expedition paddlers alike a fast ride, even in the most challenging conditions. Your heaviest gear will barely slow it down – this is an ideal touring kayak. The high bow is an essential design element and, like a surfski, the XP 18 Spyder is designed for paddling in windy conditions. The large bow works with the rudder in balancing it against weather cocking (turning upwind). The bow volume also
optimizes surf performance in waves and swells and will, in combination with the deflective curves at the sides of the stern and in front of the cockpit, keep you dry in rough conditions. Beautifully made in vacuum-bagged fiberglass and reinforced with honeycomb core-mat, the XP18 Spider is not only lightweight but also extremely stiff to optimize performance. Store heavy gear in the two large oval hatches, lighter bags for your small essentials in the large 20cm day hatch. Also unique to the XP 18 Spyder are the recessed safety lines in the bow and stern, accentuating its ultra sleek look. The XP 18 Spyder comes with light weight carbon surfski rudder, an ultra-light, carbon rudder pedal system, a venturi self bailing system and a compass recess on the foredeck (the Silva 70P compass is optional).

Whisky 16 Skeg
Facts & measurements
Rough waters – fun paddling When we launched the Whisky 16 we knew we had a slam dunk. It was designed by Nigel Foster, after all, to be everything he looked for in a kayak. But the demand still took us by surprise. All our customers had to do was try it – and they were hooked. Even an absolute novice feels like Nigel Foster in the cockpit of a Whisky 16. On gentle waters the boat is comfortable, stable, and easily maneuvered – an ideal boat to develop skills.
“The kayak is extremely agile, and turns on a dime. A single forward or reverse sweep stroke will pivot the kayak through nearly 180° on the flat hull”
For the experienced paddler it is the ultimate playboat. With its fuller bow and stern shape to reduce plunging, the Whisky 16 is designed to make the most of rough water, surf, and currents. It is perfect for day trips but spacious enough for a few days of self-contained expedition paddling. It is available in vacuum-bagged fiberglass. The Whisky 16 has two large oval aft and bow hatches, a large round day hatch behind the cockpit for access to items while on the water, and the Whisky hatch, a smaller round hatch in front of the cockpit that opens to an under-deck compartment.

DoubleShot Rudder&Skeg
It takes two to tandem When feedback on the DoubleShot started trickling back to us from retailers around the world we knew that we had created a new successful concept in tandem paddling. Nigel Foster developed the DoubleShot to go anywhere the singles go! This is a lively two-seater with some similarities to the single Whisky 18. Although fitted with rudder as standard, the shallow-arch/hard chine hull configuration permits accurate edged-turning for coordinated paddling teams. The large retractable skeg is also standard and makes for great tracking. This combination makes close coastal exploration as well as difficult crossings easy and fun. Nimble for a double, and comfortably stable, the DoubleShot has sufficient storage capacity for day trips and short multi-day expeditions, and offers exciting play opportunities for adventurous couples. The DoubleShot is available in vacuumbagged fiberglass. Storage is in five sealed compartments with large oval hatches to access the fore and aft cargo spaces, a single round hatch into the central compartment between the two paddlers, a round dayhatch behind the rear seat, and a small Whisky hatch that opens to an under-deck compartment in front of the forward seat.
