Mohammed Al Shakhsheer is an ambitious Architect who graduated recently with a bachelor degree in architecture from Petra University of Jordan. During his five years of studying architecture Mohammed managed to learn all about architecture through theoretical and practical means which together helped shaping the way he thinks about architecture and its relation to its surroundings. Also in order for him to stand out among his colleagues Mohammed was aware that he needs to think differently and have his own perspective, so he worked with different local architectural firms while studying which helped him understands the way architecture works in practical life and to understand the market needs . Furthermore with enough knowledge in 2D and 3D software’s Mohammed was able to present his work in his own distinguished way.

Situated about 37 km northwest of the center of At-Tafilah this area is important for medicinal, historical and religious reasons. The hot springs are known for their therapeutic qualities, as they are rich in minerals. The area is also home to an ancient Byzantine church made up of three caves. Afra Hot Springs has special significance for Muslims, as a monument to Faruah bin Amro al-Jathami, the first Muslim martyr outside of the Arabian Peninsula, is located here. The area enjoys a moderate climate during winter and thus the hot springs attract many people during winter who come to relax and escape the cold weather. The natural spring water reaches 49C and contains beneficial minerals such as iron, bromide, and Sulphur, which help treat many diseases such as arthritis, rheumatism, eczema, and various skin diseases, as well as helping to improve blood circulation.

It’s masterpiece located in Tafileh in the heart of a version valley of Afra and smoothly integrated with one of the super natural and non-developed sites in the southern region of Jordan, Which own the responsibility to this project to create an attraction point for anyone seeking for a tourist, therapeutic, natural environment or discovery destination to get there.

Afra interpretation center is a project that themed to redefine an isolated and ignored zone through establishing a touristic project and to benefit from the local resources of the area, These springs are highly effective for the treatment of various diseases, In particular skin and rheumatic diseases. This makes of the medical treatment waters one of the most important pillars of curative tourism in Jordan. The sites of curative waters enjoy also special climatic conditions with long dry summers cool wet winters.

An interpretation center is a multi-functional project derived from the needs of many sectors in Jordan, its seeks to create a new integrated dimension of tourist, therapeutic, natural environment and discovery-projects. Working on achieving a refreshing-cultural project for the income of Jordan and attracts tourist and the citizens as well.


Purpose this project will be an educational ,cultural ,environmental project knowledge and understanding in architecture it will revive the environmental importance of architecture in Jordan ,it will be an integration for future of dams , showing a development of architecture through years ,in addition its a new type of architecture in the world and will rise the awareness discover and explore the environment around us.

The idea of the establishment of accomodation in this project is to increase the duration of stay for visitors that comes for eco tourism where they can benefit from project during the year. has been designed this accomodations so that gives sense to visitor that the era of previous time follow the principles of conversation and simplicity.

It is an area with a historical and heritage sites and a stunning views with rare plants theyre all needs to interprete them to all over and needs some special care.

Mainly to increase the awareness of visitors and residents of the region towards showing all around how important are these places. The Need to provide a recreational areas for residents and tourists and needs attention and to take care of.

It is set on the western edge of the city with views over the Holy Land and the Dead Sea in the distance.

Its industrail concrete and simple straight lines contrasting against the enviroment's soft horizon and chaotic plant life, yet managing to find balance in its dynamic context of the interplay between nature and structure.
