Several weeks ago, we sought your prayers regarding the need to fill the open positions for bus drivers and counselors to continue Shalimar UMC’s long-standing After School Camp (ASC) program this fall.

We prayed and God answered!

Since then, we have received 2 counselors and 1 bus drivers needed to ensure the continuation of this important outreach program. Ms. Sarah Hicks, Children’s Director, has agreed to drive a bus until 1 more bus driver is found.

Thank you, Shalimar UMC, for your prayers, encouragement, and suggestions for employees. We are excited for the new school year as we REACH the next generation in our community with the good news of Jesus Christ.

ASC is still seeking 1 bus driver and 1 additional employee that could act as substitute counselors and bus drivers in case of employee emergencies or sickness. Contact Dawn at dawn@shalimar-umc.org for further information or to receive an application.

Scholarship monies/adopt a child’s tuition- we are seeking scholarship funds to help those that need help with their tuition, to better help us reach those that need a safe, Christian atmosphere. Volunteering Opportunities: Homework/Reading Buddy volunteers Sharing your talents i.e. knitting, sewing, sports, painting, etc.
