Escape Studios of Pearson College London has announced The VFX Festival 2018 to be held from 6th February through 8th February at Rich Mix, an independent arts venue in London. The theme of the 6th edition of the annual VFX festival is to focus on how all elements are diversifying and changing, to adapt to the future. This three day festival celebrates the best in VFX, games, animation and motion graphics. Leaders and professionals of the industry will be turning up to this mega convention to take part in the informative talks, productive workshops, and interactive exhibition booths. The first day of the event i.e., 6th February will feature headliner talks by Framestore, a leading visual effects company and Creative Assembly, a gaming company. Framestore will delve into their work done for the latest Paddington 2 movie. Besides, there will be a wide range of workshops and exhibitions. On the second day of the event, the Oscar winning visual effects company Framestore will have their Alexis Wajsbro to delve into the team’s work and how they produced 459 shots of heavy-duty VFX for Thor: Ragnarok. The VFX team of MPC Film made 700 stunning shots of VFX for Alien: Covenant. The team will detail the technical challenges they faced during the creation of iconic creatures and alien environment for the movie. Blue Zoo, Climax Studios, and CineSite are other partners involving in the headliner talks of the day. The third day of the event will feature a talk session by gaming companies Creative Assembly and Fire Without Smoke about their efforts in producing the most renowned gaming experiences. VFX companies MPC Advertising, Rewind, The Mill, and DNeg will also be participating on the day. The 2017’s edition of the VFX Festival was an assortment of amazing personalities and playful events.
