The success of our existence relies upon how we dwell, an axiom that is the foundation and drive of my current and future work. With diverse educational experiences and a developed global perspective I strive as an architect to answer the needs of the built environment through necessity and resourcefulness. My culture and tradition taught me to design according to human need and comfort otherwise an excellent piece of work may not serve its purpose. So in my whole time of educational journey I tried my best to create spaces those are more user friendly and functional, those imprints human need and comfort. My focus is on contextual design where parameters are directly influenced by surrounding cultural, environmental, and built factors. I believe that a good design can heal, can change the user group’s perspective if it truly serve its purpose. So I intend to get involved with an organization where I could flourish my educational acquaintance and skills to strengthen my future professional career at a time serve the organization to accomplish their aims and goals perfectly as well as serving the nation.

Health facility buildings are more complex because of various types of indoor facilities and multi-level of user groups. So it is evident that health facility should be designed in a way that can fully support a patient to both his/her physical and psychological state. Bangladesh has now been advanced in health facility design but still there are some problems yet. In our country, when designing a hospital, there are no considerations for patient’s psychological supports to make them more stress free. Commercialization results in buildings with no set back space and open space considering the need of isolation from busy roads. Inappropriate site selection and introvert built environment are encouraging buildings that are more energy consuming. New age hospitals are using artificial lights with rich interior which is passively causing increase in medical cost. Inadequate lifts and ramps, unplanned waste disposal making situation more vulnerable. These situations having a negative impact on patient, their family and staffs. On that note we can consider the situation of cancer patients as they need both physical and psychological support more than other patients but this need is totally ignored in our country. It is high time to design health care centers in more humanize way that gives patients psychological relief. This type of practice is known as healing environment. It declares that architecture can have a positive effect on the healing and health care outcomes of its users. Healing environment ensures care, not cure, which implies an environment that provides a sense of strength and acceptance to the patients those are psychologically and physically in vulnerable situation. So we can say that a health care building especially for cancer patients should be that the building itself could act as a healing system.

A hotel is a receptacle that contains a multitude of human emotions. When a traveler arrives at a hotel, his/her on going stories get synchronized in this little space called Hotel. That traveler can be a tourist, a businessman or even a person looking for solace. Be that as it may, the majority of their experiences, their memories, rotates around the lodging. That is why I tried to represent my hotel as a “Travel Log Book” or a simple Memoir for those explorers by creating a series where there stories can be sheathed. This place will remind them of various tourist spots that they have experienced as a plethora of their previous journey. The revival of Khulna as an industrial city as a result of the establishment of the Padma Bridge is one of the crucial reason why I chose this southern city as my project site. Likewise, the Sundarbans and numerous heritage sites around Khulna draws a considerable measure of tourists around the globe who needs to encounter the local traditions and cultures amid their visit. That is why, my project “A luxury hotel” will be the perfect solution to meet the needs of this thriving city.

Ashrayan, literally meaning ‘refuge’ or ‘shelter‘ is a curious case of rehabilitation (hence resettlement) program for the landless, homeless and rootless people in Bangladesh; this is also very typical of numerous top-down housing intervention schemes by governments from both worlds. In 1997, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has planned this project to rehabilitate the Cyclone affected landless, homeless families. After the primary success of this project, the government has taken initiatives for another two phasing of this project. Around 1, 70,000 families have been rehabilitated in 3 phases of “Ashrayan” project. But a lot of complications have raised for the “Top down Policy” of the project planners. Our aim of this project is to investigate the everyday spatial modifications and compromises made by the re-settlers & giving alternative solutions to problems of the overall shelter provision process. we come up with an idea of permaculture , policies and design deceisions of a self sustained community

“GROUND ZERO “MEANS THE CENTER OF RAPID ACTIVITY OR CHANGE. DAAKBANGLA CAN BE TERMED AS GROUND ZERO FOR KHULNA CITY. THIS IS THE PLACE FROM WHERE ECONOMIC “BOOM” OF THE CITY HAPPENED. S THIS PLACE IS THE CENTER OF ALL ECONOMIC ACTIVITY OF KHULNA. SO IT HAS A CULTURAL, SOCIAL AND HISTORICAL VALUE. STILL THIS PLACE IS LOSING ITS PRIDE FOR BEING OVER CROWDED WITH SHOPS, PEOPLE AND HAWKERS. TRAFFIC CONGESTION OF IS GETTING WORSE DAY BY DAY. THERE IS NO OPEN SPACE THAT CAN ACCOMMODATE THIS HUGE AMOUNT OF USER GROUP. HERITAGE BUILDINGS ARE BEING DEMOLISHED. THERE IS A PROPOSAL OF ALL BUILDING AT THE CENTER HAVING NOT ENOUGH ROAD WIDTH SITUATION ADJACENT TO THE MAIN ROAD. SO FROM THE STATED CIRCUMSTANCES WE PROPOSED A SPACE THAT CAN ACCOMMODATE THE WHOLE SITUATION AND HOLD THE IMAGE OF THIS LAND MARK AREA. THE PROPOSAL WAS OF A PUBLIC GATHERING SPACE A GREEN URBAN SQUARE ON SITE OF THE PROPOSED TALL BUILDING. WITH THE FACILITY OF SHOPPING AND OTHER URBAN REQUIREMENTS THIS COULD BE THE MOST HAPPENING PLACE FOR THE PEOPLE OF KHULNA CITY.

THE BUILDING SYSTEM, STRUCTURE, FUNCTIONS AND MASSING, THESE ARE THE MAIN ISSUES. MOREOVER THE OUTLOOK THAT AN ICONIC HIGHRISE BUILDING SHOULD HAVE. BUILDING ACT OF BANGLADESH, FIRE SAFETY MEASURES, DETAIL WELL FUNCTIONING CORE, THESE HAVE TO BE MORE FUNCTIONAL.MOREOVER, FOR AN ICONINC BUILDING THE IDEA AND COPCET BEHIND DESIGING IS IMPORTANT. MY IDEA WAS TO BUILDING A HIGHRISE BUILDING THAT WOULD BREAK THE MONUMENTAL EEFCT OF HIGHRTISE.TJHE BREAKING DOWN OF THE WHOLE MASSING WILL NOT LET PEOPLE FEEL THE HEIGHT.

WE WERE GIVEN AN AREA OF THE CAMPUS WHICH ARE NOT BEING USED FREQUENTLY AND SOMEWHAT CAN BE CALLED AS LEFT OVER SPACES WITH NO CONCERN, HAVING CRIME ISSUES AND SO ON. SO THAT HAS TO BE DESIGNED IN A WAY WHICH CAN SOLVE THE ISSUES YET NOT HARMFUL HOR THE NATURAL SETTINGS. OUR SITE WAS IN FRONT OF A AN ACADEMIC BUILDING AND BESIDE THE LAKE.SO IN DESIGING THE AREA WE HAVE GIVEN FULL PRIORITY TO THE LAKE .
