As we continue to host people to the colourful joys of life in a sustainable manner, we are pleased to introduce the Shangri-La Way Orientation Module 1 (previously known as Shangri-La Care Orientation Modules) to reflect our Shangri-La Culture and to motivate colleagues to think, feel, act and live Shangri-La in every interaction with our guests. Two more modules will come soon!

Electricity saving initiative – Solar Lights for TAH Gardens
During his monthly address, the resort’s Director of Engineering, Mr. Ewan Yap, said, “The Engineering division is embarking on an electricity-saving initiative for external garden lighting. The existing lights will be replaced with solar power floodlights. We have ordered 100 sets of solar lights from China and will test them when the lights arrive in December. “
The
advantages that Mr. Yap said are as follow;
1) Reasonably cheap
2) Operate at zero electricity
3) Using Solar PV panels and Battery
4) Automatic on when it gets dark
5) Can be turned turn on manually the using remote control
6) The light can be turned on for 16 hours for a single day charge during the day. That means can last from 6:00pm to 6:00am.

FLS Department has volunteered ERT colleagues for Bomba competition on 9 January 2023.
There will also be training exercise provided by Bomba before the competition day.
A Second Life One Pod at a Time
As part of our commitment to sustainable living, TAH & RRR are working with Nespresso recycle the Nespresso pods used in our suites and Horizon Club guest rooms. These pods will be collected by Nespresso who will recycle the aluminium part of the pod and the convert coffee grounds into composted.

Do the Right Thing
We will be phasing out our single used plastic (SUP) water bottles to be replaced with tetra pack water. This will help minimize the risk of plastic ending up in our ocean while lowering down our carbon footprint.

• Tried to assign someone to stand in the lobby area enroll members not it was not successful.

• Encouraged guests to enroll with possibility of instant prize,
• Saw immediate in enrollment XXX
• Appointment of a part-timer Rachel Lee as SLC enrollment ambassador
Enrolments increased by 40%
