The Learning And Development Team met up with North Borneo University college and Kolej Teknikal Yayasan Sabah to discuss the potential of the resort and colleges collaborating with each other to provide internship opportunities for their students.
Learning and Development Meeting – February 2023
During the Learning and Development Meeting in February 2023, Director of Rooms, Madam Nora conducted a training session on Guestpedia and GREAT Program to all Departmental Learning Leads.
We welcome our new intern students on January 30, 2023 and in the month of February 2023
It is norm for Lecturer or Internship Coordinator from various college make a visit to our resort to check on how their student are adapting to the work in the resort. In February, we received a visitation from UCSF College.
Learning the Korean language can be a great asset for our colleagues and for our resort. With the rise of international travel, many people are looking to stay in hotels that offer services in their native language. By taking a Korean language course, we will be able to provide guests with a more comfortable and welcoming experience in our journey to be the best loved hospitality group
Beginning on March 1, 2023, there will be one 2-hour session per week for a total of seven weeks of the course.
The annual Sectional Fire Life Safety training has commenced!
Kitchen, Laundry, and Engineering departments did their respective FLS training in February.
These departments work in high-risk areas and therefore will require the training to eliminate fire hazards in their respective work environment, and fight fire should the situation arises.

In effort to provide a home for the stray cats around the resort, we now have the the "Adopt A Stray Cat" programme
Our first stray kitten from the resort was adopted by Mirna (Finance Department). Her existing cats at home were curious about the new addition. Thank you for opening your heart & home to the kitten, Mirna!
9 years old Mohamad Zulhakeemy Ihsan Bin Md Anwar aka Kenken from Papar is diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer – Potine Glioma.
He was recently released from Hospital Likas (Wanita Dan Kanak-kanak Sabah) after completing his 30 sessions radiotherapy. Unfortunately, he showed no signs of improvement. The hospital discharged him and he went home at home to be near to his family.
One of KenKen's wishes is to have a family vacation in a resort.
An NGO Chairlady Ms Rujilin reached out to us in a form of sponsoring a Tanjung Deluxe Suite – closest to the pool for KenKen and his siblings, all meals and sunset cruise for the family of 5. We gave them a ground floor suite so that it's more convenient for KenKen who is bound to a wheelchair.
The family stayed for 2 days, checking in on the 10th Jan.
During check-out, Kenken's parents sincerely thanked the Management and all TAH colleagues for making their family's holiday a memorable one and for making one of KenKen's wishes come true.
