Shanmuga shyam is a graduate holding a degree in bachelors in design awarded by raffles design international college a well reputed institution globally. He is also an associate member of Indian institute of interior design. Further Mr.Shyam holds a master diploma in inter architecture from CADD institute. The aim of this project is to define the architecture and design of hi life mall in Mumbai. From the current architecture we need to improve the user experience, exploring new ideas or responding to technological change. In the meantime, enormous changes are occurring in the broader environment.

This 167000.00 square feet multi utility park occupies with general shopping space, restaurants, daycare center, medical libratory, gymnasium, parks, recreation area, terrace garden, private office, courier desk and private helipad.

The scope of designing a restaurant in a place like Mumbai (city that never sleeps) will be great overall exposure. The location of the restaurant is located near Santa Cruz station on the skywalk. The place is very crowded, where everyday nearly 40000 people pass that way.

The design was inspired from the Indian local trains. My design concept was to accommodate more number of customers with standard comfort and minimum service in a contemporary style.

The design characterizes ready made fast food which serves quickly after ordering with minimal service. The restaurant captures day to day travelers and the localities. The total area the restaurant covers 1002 Sq.ft Objectives of the Restaurant is to provide high quality fast food and better service to the customers with better seating and good environment. The task was to achieve the economies of scale to minimize costs while maximizing value to customers.

Materials play the major role in the construction field, weather its interior or exterior. I have incorporated new material called litracon ( light transmitting concrete ) for the walls along with FRP ( fiber reinforce plastic ) for flooring and Acrylic replaces glass with LED lighting.

Never before I had experienced such a rush of emotion at the sight of an architectural work in designing the concept and function of shopping, pleasure and communication, to encourage the meshing of consumption and culture for the Italian fashion brand PRADA which is spread across 6000 sq ft in Mumbai and its unquestionable quality, which is applied to every stage of its process, from design to the selection of materials.

KURE

Kure is designed like a flower that opens up to a full-fledged dinning table. Shaped as a sphere when closed, it can occupy any corner of the house. And only when the sun sets down, you can bring Kure to life. Fitted with a light source in the center, the base too glows with blue light. The pod-like form accommodates six dinning chairs which can also also be used otherwise. An alternative set of furniture that aims to bring the whole family together at meal times.

THOUSAND

This furniture was designed for IMPACT India foundation, for unprivileged children. It is made of single strip of mild steel plate and medium density plywood. The wooden box acts like storage space and it is easily dismantled. The interesting part of this furniture is in the name of the furniture, THOUSAND! That is the cost of the furniture.

Candle light dinner below the moonlight is never out of fashion. This classic handmade furniture was design for a German client, made out of bio composite wood which is completely sustainable.

ROSHNI

Lights play the major role in interior architecture. Name of the fixture comes from a Sanskrit word ROSHNI (light), which was designed for a German client for his Mumbai home.
