Jennifer B. Pippin, FAIBD, CPBD and founder of Pippin Home Designs, based in Mooresville and Blowing Rock, North Carolina, received three American Residential Design Awards at the American Institute of Building Design’s national annual awards ceremony in St. Paul, Minnesota, on July 30. The awards, for her latest custom Lake Norman home designs Chef ’s Delight, a modern 8,540-square-foot industrial lake home; Point Place, a $5 million, 13,202-square-foot showpiece; and White Rock, a modern 8,185 square-foot lake home, reflect her dedication to her clients’ well-being, her understanding of effective natural lighting techniques and her eye for outdoor living beauty. Pippin’s passion for holistic homes is a personal one. A near-fatal car accident at the start of her 36-year-long career rendered her temporarily disabled in a home that did not support her healing. “That dark, cramped home with no accessible outdoor living space made me realize just how much of an impact a home has on health and wellness,” says Pippin, a Certified Green Professional through the National Association of Home Builders. “I want to make sure none of my clients have to experience what I lived through.”
