Essential Oil Safety 1
Essential oils can be used aromatically, topically, and/or internally. Check the labels and make sure you do your research to ensure you are using your oils correctly.

Avoid getting oils in your eyes, ears, and other sensitive areas. If you accidentally do, never use water to flush it. Apply a carrier oil or milk to the area to reduce redness and discomfort.

Start low and slow. Essential oils are very concentrated. When diffusing, start with 2-3 drops of one oil and then adjust as you see fit over time.

Always dilute your oils when starting out. Listen to your body and adjust dilution ratios based on your own experiences and research you do. See the dilution information in this packet and use it as a guide.

Hot oils must always be diluted. A hot oil is an oil that when applied neat can cause redness and a burning sensation. Examples of hot oils are Cinnamon Bark, Clove, Lemongrass, Thyme, Oregano, Thieves, and Exodus II.

Most oils are safe to use during pregnancy, but always let your health care provider know that you are using oils and check with them if you have any concerns.

Be aware of oils that are photosensitive. Photosensitivity as it relates to essential oils means that the particular oil, if applied to the skin before going into direct sunlight, could cause a discoloration or even a mild skin irritation.

Challenge
DAY 1: Unwind
Fill your diffuser to the red marker and add 3 drops each of LAVENDER and NORTHERN LIGHTS BLACK SPRUCE.
DAY 2: Drink to Your Health
Add a drop of LEMON to a glass of water. Lemon helps your body flush out toxins and is so yummy. Be sure to always use glass, and never plastic bottles.
DAY 3: Wake UP Call
Add a drop of PEPPERMINT and 2-3 drops of carrier oil to your wrists for a morning pick-me-up. Or add 4 drops of PEPPERMINT and 4 drops LEMON to your diffuser to get everyone moving in the morning.
DAY 4: Boost 'Em Up
Boost your family's immune system by making a roller bottle of 10 drops each THIEVES and PURIFICATION and topping with a carrier oil. Apply daily to feet at bedtime and/or on the way out the door.
DAY 5: Sore Muscle Relief
For sore and strained muscles, mix a few drops of carrier oil in your palm with a drop of PANAWAY. Rub it on sore areas like neck, shoulders, back, etc. For more strength, add COPAIBA and/or PEPPERMINT.
DAY 6: Get Them Snoozing
Add 2 drops of LAVENDER to a few drops of carrier oil and rub on the backs, necks, and temples of family members who need to calm down and get some sleep. You can also put a few drops of LAVENDER on pillows and sheets too!
DAY 7: Get Yo' Clean On
Make your own all-natural cleaner by adding 8 drops of THIEVES to 1 cup of water in a glass spray bottle. Use LEMON oil neat to clean marks and scuffs and remove sticky stuff.
DAY 8: Find Your Zen
Find a quiet space, fill your diffuser and add 3 drops of FRANKINCENSE. Let all of life's distractions go and breathe deeply. Use that time to meditate, pray, and/or feel grounded and connected to your soul.
DAY 9: Freshen UP
Add 3 drops of PURIFICATION to a cotton ball and place in your vacuum bag to purify the air as you clean. Add a few drops to dryer balls to make your laundry smell so, so good!
DAY 10: 3~Minute Facial
In a small glass bowl mix 2 drops each of LEMON, LAVENDER, FRANKINCENSE, and PURIFICATION with 1 tbsp. of coconut oil. Apply to damp face and leave on for a minute or two before wiping with a cotton pad.
