C O L M E E W From the Headteacher It is my very great pleasure to welcome you to our annual School Summer Fete. We hope you have fun, win lots of prizes and enjoy the company of friends, family and school staff, on this lovely summer’s evening. The Friends do a wonderful job bringing the school community together for events and we are delighted that this Fete is open to the wider community of Framlingham and beyond. We give a special welcome to those who are new to the school, and we hope that you come away tonight having made new friends and having enjoyed the relaxed and happy atmosphere of the Fete. Mrs H Picton, Headteacher

From the Fete Committee We are delighted to bring you your Summer Fete this year and hope you all enjoy it as much as last. The main objective is to have a good time and celebrate the achievements of this last academic year. We also bid a fond farewell to our Year 6s and wish them all the best for the future. You all helped raise amazing sums last year and the benefits have been appreciated by all pupils and will continue to be felt as many purchases have lasting benefits – not least the books and back playground renovation. Thank you so much! Wishing you all a wonderful afternoon and lots of fun! Fete Committee

It is impossible to calculate all the time and energy involved in this fete: from every person who donates prizes, money, ideas and energy,as well as the set up, stall-holding and clear up on the day itself, but it is literally 100s of hours of effort to make it happen – so no thank you is enough..But we need to name a few! The core committee – you’ve battled fair weather and foul through the last 6 months to make today happen. Louise Kindred – you are a rock – just brilliant. Vicki Langford – you had no idea what you were letting yourself in for – thanks for seeing it through! Steve Calver – indomitable and dependable. Chris Hook – master of signs and never one to let us slide into mediocrity. And Kelly Goody – energetic, fresh, enthusiastic and a huge asset. Saluted one and all. So to our volunteers – you man the stands, handle the cash and today would be nothing without you – an army of support – thank you so very much: Michael Fox, Julia Nathan, Caroline Miller, Andy Miller, Jen Sayers, Kate Ward, Fiona Mason, Rosie Paternoster, Jo Bexley, Adrian Bexley, Sharon Jenkins, Sarah Farrand, Tracey Allen, Elena Howard, Sally Lightfoot, Nic Robinson, Jo Leeming, Kelly Nekrews, Gabriella Bussandri, Claire Baker, Molly Miller, Elizabeth Jones, Sarah White, Beata Kellman, Julie Perkins, Shelley Jones, Donna Bigmore, Mary Newman, Lizzy Swan, Verity Watkins, Alex Sizeland, Jo Durrant, Heather Prowse, Nikki Sholl, Dawn Woodroffe, Ru Owen, Lucy Proudfoot, Tammy Courtnay, Shane Murphy, Philly Owen, Kate Mawson, Debbie Noble, Katy Read, Daniel Kindred, Dan Langford, Graham Foster, Ruby Ratcliffe and David Lawley The lovely school staff for battling with so many bottles! Tents and Marquees – they’ve added not only much needed shelter but brilliant colour – The Kindreds, The Bexleys, Anglia Coastal Marquees (Michaela Firth), The Langfords and Kelly Goody The Kindreds for all the atmospheric and heavy (!) bales.

Julia Nathan for storming the COOP and selling ticket upon ticket for the Raffle Julia Nathan and Kelly Goody as our on call First Aiders Tom Howard for legendary carpentry – our photo cutout and bowling game would have been nothing without you! The inimitable Mary Newman for picture perfect painting yet again, and also her son, Patrick for his winning programme design. Shannon Noy – for what you do tirelessly behind the scenes. Your design on the marketing and programme is hours and hours of work which you give freely and so kindly. Any design or graphic needs – SLW Design should be your go to place. A special nod too to Karen Maurice for another fun competition flyer – “hats off ”! Fi Edwards (Friends’ Secretary) and Kate Hind (Friends’ Treasurer) behind the scenes they work to allow it all to happen – special mention for your patience and diligence. And special thanks too to Mark Lewis and his brilliant Kuk Sool Won team The Suffolk Punch Trust and Mrs Ambrose for bringing Colony Oaken here Kirsty Scriven and her fantastic troupe of Street Dance The Man in the Hat The Rock Project Caroline Miller – unbeatable! Always patient and always understanding. Mrs Picton, Mrs Colchester and all the school staff – for the extras you have to analyse, understand and embrace to make this happen! As always though – a special thank you to the Year 6s – a brilliant bunch who have managed many stands wonderfully today, leaving a fantastic legacy in the funds they help raise and the behaviour they displayed. And finally – thanks to you all – for coming out, joining in the fun and parting with your hard earned cash for our school… we hope you enjoyed it. Have a wonderful summer The Fete Committee Emma, Louise, Vicki, Kelly, Steve and Chris
