As technology advances, The amount of data accumulated worldwide is increasing. The amount of data accumulated within the city at an unprecedented level has led to the use of more electricity and the production of a lot of heat. This figure has prompted companies in the world's metropolitan areas to more efficiently utilize data and the heat generated.

This project is a data storage center using waste heat, which is proposed as a countermeasure against the current and future crises in the city. It presents an alternative to utilize the waste heat generated by many commercial buildings along with programs needed in Midtown Manhattan. In addition, it can be confirmed that a sustainable building plan using TIMBER can be proposed and it can play the role of a park, an existing site.

Current Situation

As one of the world's largest metropolitan areas, New York City in the United States has the highest commercial building electricity usage. The site is proposed as a park surrounded by tall buildings. This is where the consumption of a lot of data within the city of Manhattan is required.

It is a wooden structure module that can be assembled into 'GAGU structure'.

Accordingly, the data market for managing and storing not only commercial usage but individual data usage are growing.

The energy consumption of data centers running with a large number of digital devices is enormous.

Formation of programs to expand necessary facilities in the city.

Vertical mix of in-building programs for aggregated data utilization.

Flexible combination between units arranged to execute the formed program.
