Former union telecom minister, Congress leader Sukh Ram passes away at 95
LATEST NEWS : Senior Congress pioneer and previous Union Minister Pandit Sukh Ram died on Wednesday. He was confessed to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) after he experienced a cerebrum stroke. "He was owned up to AIIMS and was going through treatment for the mind stroke," his child Anil Sharma told ANI. His grandson Aashray Sharma wrote in a Facebook post, "Farewell granddad; Now the telephone won't ring." (Roughly interpreted from a video post alongside the subtitle in Hindi). Leaving the Congress in 2017, the 95-year old pioneer hosted rejoined the get-together in 2019, calling it his 'homecoming'. He had served in the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology from 1993 to 1996. The previous Lok Sabha part from Himachal Pradesh's Mandi voting demographic was a five-time MLA in Himachal Pradesh Assembly and had won the Lok Sabha races threefold.
