Created 2019 11"x24" // When asked to create a character concept design for my Digital Arts course, I wanted the environment to tell a story, as our environments heavily influence the way we interact with things and act personally.
Created 2019, 11"x22" // Inspired by the rich environment designs of video game worlds, I wanted to design a scene telling a story, as an unknown individual ventures down a dangerous and foggy path through a northern wilderness, marking the bravery of any that dare to do the unknown.
"DREAMSCAPE" Created 2020, 16"x13" // A dreamscape representing the way ideas and spaces form in my mind.
"CRYSTAL CITIES" Created 2020, 12"x13"// Fascinated by the myths of ancient cities powered by powerful artifacts, this city represents a similar theme found in the future, with an alien resource to terraform an unfamiliar planet.

"TRANQUIL APPARITION" Created 2019 20"x30"// A passage disappearing into the night is haunted by a beautiful but remorseful ghost, drawing spirits towards her. Made with two white Prismacolour pencils and a large black board as the background.

"WINDOW TO THE SOUL" Created 2019 6"x6" // As a study of the emotions eyes can convey despite being a simple organ in the human body, I wanted to practice different emotions shown through a study of varying eyes.

"LEOPARD STUDY" Created 2019 12"x14"//Study on the movement and pattern on the body of a leopard, this sketch allowed me to understand composition and demonstrate a sense of poised relaxation. The leopard stares down intensely, sprawled out on the tree but clearly ready to pounce at any second. Greatly admiring this quality, I wanted to incorporate that elegant ferocity into my creative work as well.
"KHOOBSURAT" Created 2019 15"x13" // Khoobsurat means beautiful in my native tongue, Pakistani Urdu. This piece pays homage to my heritage, emulating the dramatic composition of Bollywood film while showcasing South Asian beauty.
MIXED MEDIA "LOVE'S LIGHT IN THE SHADOWS" Created 2019 (roughly 15"x13") // The shadowy silhouettes represent two lovers meeting in secret, while their colourful surroundings show how powerful the emotion can be, when nurtured and appreciated, incorporating South Asian henna designs like fireworks!

"WALKING BY THE TERRACE" Created 2019 20"x15"x13" // Heavily influenced by the style and scene of Van Gogh's "Cafe Terrace at Night", I wanted to create an immersive 3-dimensional piece evoking the same feeling. Textures were recreated to feel like the materials they were meant to represent. This was made using Masonite boards, paper, acrylic paint, toothpicks and clay. It is meant to be seen in two different modes: that of the day and of the night. It also plays jazzy background music alongside the ambient lighting.
"GHOST CAFETERIA" Created 2019 6"x6"// Taken on a standard Canon pointand-shoot camera, showing the eerie contrast between a space so full of life devoid of people.
PHOTOGRAPHY "PREMONITION" Created 2019 6"x9"// By positioning the subject behind a window and using the cloudy day's reflection, this piece is experimenting with surrealist elements of space.
"HEARTSTRINGS" Created 2019 6"x4"// Using the technique of light-painting with string-lights in a dark room, this emulates the emotional turbulence felt in 'hearts', shown by the tangle of electric heartstrings.
