A part of the engineering college, was the architectural department. A design exercise for my fifth semester(Year III) design studio, this design of an architectural design school iswas a study in a massing of volumes. A Community Hall constructed in a small village in Rajasthan, this design was to blend in the old architecture with the present say needs. The intricate artistic work combined with architecture had always intrgued me and this project was my chance to explore the vernacular architecture of Rajasthan.

Part Elevation
The design and the language of the building had to follow the lifestyle of the villagers. Built in a traditional fashion, the planning has been a healthy blend of traditional customs and new requirements. The community hall and the lodging facilities have been segregated to respect the demands of both these spaces.
