Introduction Semester 1 is nearly come to an end. In this three months, my understanding on design changed entirely. The most obvious attribute of design is that it makes ideas tangible, it takes abstract thoughts and inspirations and makes something concrete. I made a lot of models in these months, the total quantity exceeds the sum in my life before. Thus, I truly agree with “Design is persistent trying.�

The challenge is to seek and visually document interiors representative of spatial types that reflect: [1] domestic and living interiors, [2] corridors/ service spaces, [3] metro/ transportation spaces, [4] walkways and flyovers spaces, [5] hidden spaces, [6] commercial spaces, [7] hospitality spaces, [8] themed/ fantasy spaces, [9] old and new industry spaces and [10] space of uncertain.
Hub To Kwa Wan - a hybrid district where maintains unique communal spirit. It is due to get its own MTR station. Therefore, we are eager to record the only remaining buildings- buildings which are crowded and decrepit, but full of human warmth. Our photos hint at an underlying story, capturing people, so as to develop our conception on this place.

Reflection During the process of making of perfect cube, I understand the importance of precise measuring, even with calculation, to cut a perfect cube isn't an easy task. A cube seems to be normal, but it does take a lot of work to reach the perfect state of it.

Reflection I use the idea of spring to design my cube, tutor told me that's not complex enough. If a face that can repeatedly representing the effect would be the best.
Although my design have shortcomings on representing the sense of space, it is great on representing the emotion. After peer critique, I have more thoughts on space sense representing, everyone have different style of their presentation of the meaning of words.

Mixing plaster isn't an easy task for beginners like me, especially in handling the ratio of the water and plaster. So, my first try ended up with cracks in my design. Fortunately, the second try cracks had gradually reduced.
