For this model making project, I had to design and make a set of 'chess-like' pieces. The pieces had to relate to each other and give a sense of hierarchy. My pieces were based off a medieval knights gauntlet, like in the image above. The pieces are made in a foam-like material (I can't remember what it's called), sanded smooth and finished in white emulsion.
