MARINAS AND WATERWAYS

The Fox Waterway Agency was created to improve and maintain the Fox River and Chain O’Lakes waterway for recreational uses, restore environmental quality, manage flooding, promote tourism, and enhance the quality of life along the waterway for residents and users alike.

Working with local partners the FWA helps to maintain the 15 Interconnected Lakes, nearly 500 miles of shoreline, and 70 Miles of Rivers and Channels that make up the system. The FWA is currently working on several exciting initiatives to bring in much needed additional funding to further enhance our abilities to remove an estimated 100,000+ cubic yards of sedimentation that enter our waterway each year and minimize future sedimentation.

Keeping the system navigable allows our 23,000+ sticker holders to enjoy boating, kayaking, watersports, fishing, hunting and also enjoy dozens of Restaurants and waterbased events that happen on waterway every year.
