S pring

Spring always adds new life and new beauty to Sycamore! It’s the perfect time of year to explore all the various parks such as Sycamore Lake Rotary Park or the Sycamore Forest Preserve. With the upward turn in weather, it’s a wonderful time to grab some friends or furry companions and enjoy all the outdoor activities that Sycamore has to offer. Kick off the season of Spring with Sycamore’s annual Taste of Spring event. This event brings people from miles away right to the heart of our downtown. Get a group of friends, invite your sister, or make it a date night. Taste of Spring is the perfect mix of wine, food, and shopping! As temperatures warm and flowers bloom, step into Sycamore and discover all that it has to offer.

Summer

When each day calls for sunny skies and 80 degrees in Sycamore, there is no better time to discover all it has to offer. At the end of July check out the crowd-pleasing car show with thousands of entries on display, lots of fantastic food, and the warm sunshine! Come back at the end of August for our annual Ribs, Rhythm and Brews Fest. Try ribs from vendors all over Northern Illinois and stay for the beer garden, two bands, and a DJ! It’s a great way to spend of the last weekend of Summer! Needing a break from the summer heat? Be sure to stop by one of Sycamore’s many ice cream, slushie, or smoothie places! Or enjoy dining al fresco at one of our many outdoor dining restaurants and eateries. There’s always a little something for everyone during Summer right here in Sycamore.

Fa

You are bound to fall in love with Sycamore during this time of year. Historic Somonauk Street lights up with orange and red leaves, and downtown Sycamore shops fill their windows with warm and inviting merchandise. Be sure to stay the whole weekend during Sycamore’s Pumpkin Fest! This city-wide event showcases delicious food, three indoor art and craft shows, a historic house walk, two carnivals, the Sycamore Pumpkin Run, and a family-fun parade. Discover Sycamore during this prominent time of year. It will truly make you fall in love with Sycamore.

Winter

Sycamore is full of holiday magic this time of year. Start your holiday season off with Sycamore’s Moonlight Magic event where downtown businesses fill their windows with lively performances. This includes local dance groups, theatrics, and artists!

Bring your sweetheart and your sweet tooth to Sycamore in early December for our annual Winter Chocolate Walk event. Delectable chocolate is featured at every stop, and shopping is a must. From sledding to Santa visits to historic house walks, Winter in Sycamore offers many different activities for you and your family.
