August 26 - August 28, 2016 Corn Fest is one of the last remaining free music festivals among Illinois music festivals and summer festivals. Celebrating its 40th Anniversary year the festival will be held in downtown DeKalb on Lincoln Hwy. between 1st and 4th Street. Corn Fest is also one of the oldest summer music festivals in Illinois. Many people from Illinois as well as the Midwest attend this 3 day music festival. Admission to the festival is free. There is a $5 entry fee for the soundstage but there is a free section to view the bands from as well. This festival features a carnival complete with rides and games, food booths, free live music, craft fair, car show, family entertainment and much more. Carnival wristbands are available for unlimited rides during the following times over the weekend : Friday: 3-7 pm, Saturday 11-3 pm or Sunday 11-6 pm. Wristbands valid only for timeframe for which they are purchased. $25.00 per day for Friday and Saturday, and $30.00 on Sunday. Back this year is the MEGA PASS! For $55 ride unlimited rides ALL WEEKEND LONG!
Festival Hours
The festival hours are: Friday, August 25th, 3 pm - 11 pm, Saturday, August 26th, 11 am - 11 pm, Sunday, August 27th, 11 am - 6 pm
Parking
Parking is available throughout the downtown area. There is a parking lot that will be free and open to the public at the corner of 4th and Grove St. There is also a paid parking lot at the corner of Locust and 4th St. The Kiwanis Club will be accepting donations of $5 per car. Motorcycle parking is available and parking for handicapped is free.
Buses
Public transportation is available via the Huskie Line Route 7. Stops 4 and 32 are the closest to the festival. Please visit the Huskie Line website for up-to-date schedule and route information.
FREE Transportation TransVAC
Will be offering free door to door pick up for seniors, people with disabilities, or anyone needing a ride to Corn Fest Aug. 27th & 28th. Call TransVAC 24 hours before your pick up to arrange times. Drop off will be at the DeKalb Senior Center located at 4th and Grove St. Call 815-758-6641. This is a FREE service. TransVAC Pick-Up Times Saturday:Â Pick-up from your home at 11:00 am, 12:30 pm, 2:30 pm or 4:30 pm. Drop off point will be the DeKalb Senior Center, 330 Grove St. Returns will be provided from the Senior Center at: 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm, 5:00 pm and 6:30 pm, 9:30, and 11pm. Sunday: Pick up from your home at 11:00 am, 12:30 pm, 2:30 pm or 4:30 pm. NIU Late Ride Bus Service
Will pick up every 20 minutes beginning at 11:30pm until 5am in the Walgreens Parking lot and drop off at locations around town. This is a free service to NIU students that present their ONE Card. • Hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen: to protect you on hot, sunny days • Cellular phone: to allow you to connect with friends and family attending the Festival • Pen, paper, PDA and/or business cards: to exchange phone numbers with old friends you’ll run into and new friends you’ll meet • Schedule of Events: this can be printed by clicking on the “Sound Stage” link or picked up at one of the Festival Information Booths • Comfortable pair of shoes: since you’ll probably do lots of walking throughout the day. • Comfortable clothes: dress appropriately for the weather. • Photo camera: to treasure your memories of this year’s Festival. • Binoculars: if you’re seated far away from the stage. • Cash: to purchase Official Festival merchandise, art and crafts, and tickets for purchasing food and beverages. • ATM Card: ATM machines are available on the Festival grounds • Small umbrella or rain hat: in case of showers.

Corn Fest will have a carnival Aug. 25, 26, and 27th. The carnival will be located behind Locust St. in the city and Frontier parking lots in between 2nd and 3rd St. in downtown DeKalb. Our carnival provider is North American Midway Entertainment. Are you ready for some FUN? When you come to any of our fairs or festivals you will immediately sense something different. You will feel welcome and you will know it’s going to be a great day, you are going to love it and tell everyone about us. From all of our amazing and safe rides to the delicious indulgence of carnival food and fun games – we will have you spinning in delight, eating tasty food all day and making memories to last a lifetime! Our Midways are clean and we take pride in our presentation down to the smallest details. YOU are important to us.
$55.00 for Weekend Mega Pass good for all carnival hours all weekend long. Megapass will be available for purchase from Fri. at 3pm until Sat. at 6pm.
