Fulton Presbyterian’s worship and activities

The Table at CrossView Church announces menu

The Table, a free community meal, is held each Wednesday at CrossView Church, 703 14th Ave. in Fulton. Serving begins at 5:30 p.m. and runs to 6:15 p.m.

Oct. 19: Baked potatoes with butter, chili, cheese or broccoli; tossed salad and dressings, dump cake

Oct. 26: Chicken noodle soup with crackers, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, assorted desserts

Nov. 2: Pulled pork sandwich or grilled hot dogs, cheesy potatoes, corn, brownie or Rice Krispie bar.

Nob. 9: Chili, cinnamon roll, carrots and celery sticks, assorted desserts.

The Table meals are served September through May. If River Bend Schools are canceled on a Wednesday because of bad weather, The Table also is canceled.

‘Songs of Praise’ concert at United Methodist Church

The Morrison United Methodist Church invites you to a Sunday concert beginning at 4 p.m. Oct. 23. The 50-minute concert will feature “Songs of Praise” in various forms.

The concert will open with an organ/ piano duet, “God of Grace, God of Glory” followed by a choir ensemble singing “Give Me a Song to Sing.” In the spirit of the month, pianist Pastor Sun-ah Kang will play “Graceful Ghost Rag.”

Other numbers include “When the Roll is Called Up Yonder,” a four-hand piano duet of “The Lord’s Prayer,” and a women’s trio singing, “Come Thou Almighty King “ and “Leave it There.” The concert will end with “How Great Thou Art” and “Now Thank We All Our God.”

This will be a time of enjoyment and reflection. Come and take in the joy of music, both vocal and instrumental. A freewill offering will be taken.

Emmanuel Church’s worship and activities

Wednesday night meals continue on Oct. 19 with dine-in at 5:30 p.m. or drivethru from 5:30 to 6 p.m. The menu is tacos or walking tacos, lettuce, cheese, salsa, sour cream and ice cream. Youth programs follow from 6 to 7 p.m. DELTA (Disciples Equipped for Life Transformation and Action) for kindergarten to fifth grade will meet in the Fireside Room and Jr. High JAM will meet in the Youth Room.

Join us on Sunday, Oct. 23, and grab a cup of coffee in the Welcome Center before the 9 a.m. service. Emmanuel is excited to welcome Mark Criss, executive director of City Lansing Rescue Mission in Lansing, Michigan, one of Emmanuel Church’s missions. Exaltation will lead the praise set using “Praise if Rising/ Hosanna,” “Hymn of Heaven” and “Waymaker.” Ministry Coordinator Rich Criss will accompany on the organ. The Sanctuary Choir will sing “How Great Thou Art.” Sunday School for children from preschool through high school follows worship until 11 a.m. Coffee and fellowship for adults also follow worship in the Christ Center.

Mark your calendars for 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, when the Ball Brothers, one of Emmanuel Church’s favorite groups, returns to Emmanuel Church! This concert is sponsored by the “Voices of Praise.” All are welcome and no tickets are needed. A freewill offering will be received.

First Reformed Church’s worship, activities

Join us for worship at 9 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, at First Reformed Church, located at 510 15th Ave. in Fulton. Pastor Chuck Huckaby will bring the message and the choir will sing. Sunday School classes will begin at 10:30 a.m. Coffee and refreshments are served in the library during the social time after the service.

The foot clinic and the resource center will be available on Wednesday, Oct. 19.

Senior Meals are at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays at the church. Creative Crew meets at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26, and Wednesday night Bible Study meets at 6:30 p.m. Women’s Bible Study meets at 1 p.m. Thursday.

The football and cheerleader breakfasts are held at 7 a.m. on Fridays at the church.
