WHOA fundraiser at Pizza Ranch in Clinton
Pizza Ranch of Clinton, Iowa, will hold a Community Impact Fundraiser to benefit White Oaks Therapeutic Equestrian Center of Morrison from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2.
WHOA will receive 10% of the sales during the timeframe, plus all tips. Program director Tawny Wiersema and a few WHOA volunteers will be busing the tables. Carryout sales will count, too!
BHC Highway Construction training program
Demand for workers in good-paying construction jobs remains strong. The Highway Construction Careers Training Program (HCCTP) at Black Hawk College is a great path to a rewarding career with a variety of building trades.
A new HCCTP session begins Monday, Feb. 27, with instruction and hands-on training 36 hours a week for 13 weeks.
Interested students MUST attend an orientation. Choose from these sessions:

Wednesday, Jan. 25 – 6 p.m.
Thursday, Jan. 26 – 10 a.m.

Eligible candidates must be 18 or older, have a high school diploma or GED, have a valid driver’s license, be interested in the construction trades, and be drug-free.

The Fulton Community Lunch Program has announced the menu for January. Meals will be served beginning at 11:30 a.m. at First Reformed Church, 510 15th Ave., Fulton. Everyone is welcome to attend and bring a friend. You do not need to be a senior to come and enjoy.

Friday Jan. 6: Spaghetti bake, garlic toast, tossed salad with dressing, dessert
Wednesday, Jan. 11: Catered by Eagle Point Nursing Facility

The Table, a free community meal, is held each Wednesday at CrossView Church, 703 14th Ave. in Fulton. Serving begins at 5:30 p.m. and runs to 6:15 p.m.
