⫷⫷ Welcome to Swedish Days! ⫸⫸ I am so excited to announce the return of our Swedish Days festival for 2021. After all we have been through this past year, it will be such a breath of fresh air to be able to celebrate Swedish Days with you. We wanted to create activities that could be done through any COVID mitigation and the events you will find when you come to Geneva are certainly fun for all! With the new level of mitigation, some traditions will return, and new events may become traditions for you. During the day, enjoy Concerts on the Lawn and begin Thursday night with late closings and sidewalk sales with our retail merchants. While walking downtown, enjoy the music and entertainment during our “Creative Corners” event. And do not miss the Swedish Days Car Show, back for the second year. We will again offer the Craft Brew tent, featuring more Geneva breweries. The popular Carnival opens and offers unlimited ride wristbands from noon-4 pm. Kids’ Day will go on as usual on Friday, June 25, but do know that we’ve changed the location. The event will be hosted by the Geneva Public Library. It will be a great change that offers our visitors more room, more activities and new this year, special inclusive activities for our special needs children. This is always a free event and runs from 10 am-3 pm. We are looking forward to Dala-Palooza, an all-day music festival featuring three bands, food trucks and our local brewers. All this for just $15. It will be a ticketed event and new to the Swedish Days activities. This is our premier music event this year and will take the place of our downtown music.
So, bring your lawn chairs and sunscreen and enjoy this fun day in the sun. Pre-registration is needed. Who doesn’t like chocolate? We are hosting the 1st Annual Choklad Crawl (or more commonly known as the Chocolate Crawl) on Sunday, June 27. We have 14 businesses that will be giving away chocolate related food, drinks, and gifts. The cost is only $18 and you get a beautiful tote bag to help carry your items. Pre-registration is needed. Also new this year will be Swedish Days Family Fest at the Geneva Commons on Saturday, June 26. The Chamber will be partnering with the Geneva Commons for a fun family day for our visitors. Lots of things to do with the family, including The Greater Illinois Region Classic Car Club of America Vintage Car Show with over 50 cars in the Geneva Commons area. Swedish Days runs from Thursday, June 24 through Sunday, June 27. Quality, not quantity, is our theme again this year. We hope that you enjoy the changes and cherish the traditions. Thank you to everyone who has helped with Swedish Days. Whether 2021 is your first time or you have attended for 70+ years, we look forward to welcoming you. Our volunteers and staff are very much appreciated during any festival, we could not do it without each of you! Bring your family, bring your friends. Come early, stay late. But please, keep the rain at home! Paula Schmidt President, Geneva Chamber of Commerce

ARRA is one of the best and largest drawing classic rock cover bands in the Chicagoland area, and has been for the past 2 decades! By performing the biggest hits by the biggest bands of all time, with precision and excellence... it has been, and continues to be, the secret to their success. Their unparalleled vocal harmonies and incredible musicianship is also what has brought us to being one of the most sought-after club and festival bands in the Chicago area markets. Bringing fans the music of The Dave Matthews Band for close to twenty years, Trippin’ Billies has become the gold standard for tribute bands. Based out of Chicago, the Billies have toured extensively throughout the U.S. performing at many of the same theaters Dave himself once graced. Comprised of some of the best musicians in Chicago, (WXRT) one need not be a diehard DMB fan to enjoy a show. The high-energy performance and caliber of musicianship will have you singing along by the second chorus. But if you are a fan of the Dave Matthews band, don’t walk, run to see this band at Dala-Palooza.
