A Channahon resident since the late 1950’s, Ron Lehman has been a dedicated community member through his many years of service for many organizations. Ron has received numerous awards, recognitions and achievements through the years.

In 2022, Ron Lehman celebrated his 50th year of service to the residents of Channahon as a Channahon Park District Commissioner. In recognition of his service, Community Park was renamed the Ronald D. Lehman Community Park. Ron was key in forming the People for Channahon Parks Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that solicits support for the Channahon Park District through volunteerism, gifts and grants. Ron is a retired principal of Minooka Community High School, a former Village of Channahon Trustee, charter member of the ChannahonMinooka Rotary Club, was approved by former President Bush and appointed by then Secretary of Interior Manuel Lujan Jr. to serve as a key board member on the Illinois & Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor Commission, and was named the 1996 Village of Channahon Citizen of the Year. Ron and his wife Mary Ann reside in Channahon and have three daughters; Rhonda, Lori and Kristine.

Thank you, Ron, for your many years of service and dedication to our community!

Celebrating 35 Years of Family Fun!

This is an exciting year as we celebrate our 35th anniversary of bringing this 5-day, family-friendly, fun filled event to our community.

Festival proceeds annually benefit the programs and activities of the Channahon Baseball League, Chanooka Braves Youth Football, and the Channahon Lions Clu b. In addition, our Community Support Grant Program provides financial assistance to local Channahon based community service groups and projects.

Since 1989, over $1.3 Million dollars has been generated for community programs and services in the Channahon area because of the generous support of our sponsors and those attending the Festival.

Thank you to our sponsors, volunteers and everyone who attends the Channahon’s Three Rivers Festival
