Dear Mokena Community,

On behalf of the Mokena Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, I want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your support.

You might not know that the Mokena Chamber of Commerce, established in 1961, is a non-profit organization entirely funded by membership dues and our community events.

Our annual traditional events include the Community Business Expo, Egg-A-Business Easter Baskets, Chamber Golf Outing, 4th of July Parade, Parade of Lights, and the Magic of Mokena Christmas Tree Walk & Photos with Santa, along with this Community Calendar.

The Mokena Chamber of Commerce extends its gratitude to all individuals whose contributions facilitated the creation of this calendar.

Tom and Janet Hahn are residents of Mokena and enjoy sharing their aerial drone photography with us.

Chuck Medrano and Andrea Laue are Mokena residents. You may know them as the owners of the social media famous K9’s ‘Levi Pitboxer’ and ‘GiGi on the Scene.’

This year, we are excited to introduce ‘Mokena Moolah,’ a community gift card program that can be utilized at any of our more than 20 participating businesses. They make wonderful gifts! With your continued support and generosity, we can keep these community treasures alive and help our local businesses flourish. Check out all the good stuff at our website, mokena.com, and join the fun on Facebook at @MokenaCC for updates on our members and upcoming events.

Supporting local businesses is essential for fostering community spirit and economic growth. When you shop local, you not only help your neighbors thrive but also contribute to the unique character of your community. Plus, local shops often offer oneof-a-kind products and personalized service that you won’t find anywhere else. So let’s celebrate our local gems—whether it’s a cozy café, a charming boutique, or a family-run grocery store. Every purchase makes a difference!

Here’s to a healthy, happy, and prosperous 2025 for all our wonderful residents and businesses.

Cheers,
