What subjects interest you the most? History, anthropology, nature, firefighting and even trolley trains are subjects you can learn more about at an Elgin Area museum. Our museums are affordable and many times interactive making them enjoyable for the whole family. The Elgin History Museum,

Elgin Public Museum and the Hawthorne Hill Nature Center are very kid-friendly and feature additional programming during the Spring and Summer months. Places like the Elgin Fire Barn No. 5 and the Fox River Trolley Museum take a deep dive into their subject matter and have a lot of automotive pieces on display and in operation!
