reiske Moving & Storage is a family-owned and -operated company that has been in operation since 1978, serving northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. We started out as a small local mover, and today we move people all over the country! Paul and Judy Dreiske started a mom-and-pop moving company out of their house. Their one-room office held a two-sided wooden desk that was occupied by Paul on one side and Judy facing him on the other. That desk is still part of the company and in use by their daughter, Kris. While no one faces her from the other side, the desk is a fond reminder of her childhood and of her beloved mother, who passed away several years ago. Paul retired a few years ago. The company is now headed up by Mike Dreiske, Paul’s son. Like Kris, Mike grew up in the business. He married, moved away and had a large family. Mike and family served at a Christian camp in Montana before making the decision to move back to Illinois so Mike could take the helm at Dreiske as Paul retired. Dreiske Moving & Storage does much more than just local moves. Today the company offers a full array of moving services, from packing and crating to short- and long-term storage, to interstate moves anywhere in the country. If there is a delay between your old house and the new, we can store your goods on a truck overnight for up to five nights for a nominal fee. We also offer move management services for commercial moves, small or large. From the initial on-site visit to putting the last piece in place, Dreiske can manage your whole move or some portion thereof. One of our favorite recent jobs was a hotel that was completely revamped. We received all the furniture and fixtures into our warehouse, stored them until needed, and delivered every piece to the room it was meant for. Finally, we offer white glove delivery services for designers. This allows designers to order product from around the world and send it to our dock. We open and inspect, process small repair claims if needed, blanket wrap and store everything until delivery is needed. Our professional crew members deliver, assemble and carry away packaging.
