BE IT ORDAINED, that the Putnam County Public Library District of the County of Putnam and State of Illinois shall levy a tax of .02% of the value of all taxable property within said District, for building and maintenance purposes, subject to the right of the electors in said District to petition and require an election concerning the imposition of such tax, pursuant to 75 ILCS 16/35-5

BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, that within fifteen (15) days from the date of adoption of the ordinance, it shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the Putnam County Public Library District and it is effective immediately upon adoption.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, we have hereunder set our hands in Hennepin, Illinois this 10th day of July, 2023.

1. The specific number of voters required to sign a petition requesting that the question of adoption of the ordinance be submitted to the electors of the District is 412.
