Gibbons will discuss Burnett’s childhood, adult life, and many achievements. He will explain how she received six Primetime Emmy Awards, a Presidential Medal of Freedom Award, a Screen Actors Guild Lifetime Achievement Award, and many others. In 2019, the Golden Globes would also develop an award named in her honor, “The Carol Burnett Award.”

A fried chicken lunch will be offered prior to the program. Meals are provided at no cost to those 60+ with a suggested donation.

Uptown Grill, 601 1st St., La Salle, added Sunday brunch to its menu.

Brunch will be served 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Its regular menu also will be available during brunch minus weekly specials. A brunch libations lists also will be available.
