RSVP looking for volunteers to make cards for emergency responders

In honor of the 20th anniversary of Sept. 11, The Retired Senior Volunteer Program will be making cards from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 11 at Sauk Valley Community College, Riverview Conference Room 1H16, to thank Lee and Whiteside County emergency responders for their hard work and dedication.

The public is welcome to come help out, and also meet Whiteside County Sheriff John Booker and the department’s new comfort dog, Copper. Masks are required. Materials will be provided, and participants also can bring their own.
