The Oct. 7, 2017, ceremony was performed at Grace United Methodist Church in Dixon, with a string quartet playing at the ceremony. The maids of honor were Stevie Hicks and Susie Hicks, sisters of

the bride. Bridesmaids were Kaylie Hawbaker of Orlando, Florida, Brook Monson of Byron, and Stephanie Brockwell and Shauna Sheridan, both of Dixon, all friends of the bride. The best man was Nate Sosa of Dixon, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Colby Ross of Fishers, Indiana, Camden Ro s s a n d C a n a a n Ro s s , both of Amboy, brothers of the groom, and Jeff Monson of

Byron, friend of the groom. The ring bearer was Andrew Hicks, and the flower girl was Abby Hicks, cousins of the bride. A dinner reception was at Dixon Elks. The hall was beautifully decorated by “I do Events” from

Davenport, Iowa. Sara graduated in 2009 from Dixon High School and works at First National Bank of Amboy as a teller supervisor. Carson graduated in 2007 from Amboy High School, and in 2013 from Sauk Valley Community College. He is employed at Thomson Federal Prison. After enjoying their honeymoon in Hawaii, the couple reside in Morrison.

The June 2, 2018, ceremony was at Emma Hubbs Tennis Courts in Dixon, officiated by Pastor Jeff Hart, godfather of the groom. The couple had strong connections to the late Emma Hubbs and coincidentally had their relationship blossom on the tennis courts. The matrons of honor were Katie Wegner of St. Paul, Minnesota, sister of the bride and Hillary Johnson of Denver, Colorado, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kellsi Howell of Dixon, and Lauren Smith of Indianapolis, Indiana, friends of the bride. The best man was Josh McEwen of Davis, California, friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Bud Helfrich and Ben Burger, both of Dixon, and Spencer Kannar, of Bourbon, Indiana, all friends of the groom.

Ushers were Ryan Koresko of Aledo and Alex Woods of Chicago, both friends of the groom. The flower girls were Diana Wegner Cavert of St. Paul, Minnesota, niece of the bride, and Abbie Montgomery of St. Peters, Missouri, niece of the groom. The ring bearer was Samuel Wegner Cavert of St. Paul, nephew of the bride. A dinner reception following the ceremony was at Maxson Riverboat and Riverside Restaurant in Oregon, Illinois. Kimi and Ralph both graduated from Dixon High school in 2007 and 2008, respectively. She is employed as a high school math teacher and tennis coach in Indianapolis. Ralph is employed as an automotive service production lead at Tom Wood Volvo in Indianapolis. The couple plan to enjoy a warm honeymoon in December in Tulum, Mexico. The couple reside in Indianapolis.

Mr. & Mrs. Duane Butterbaugh Mr. and Mrs. Duane Butterbaugh will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Sept. 20, 2018. Duane Butterbaugh and Janis Hayenga were married Sept. 20, 1958, at Grace Evangelical United Brethren Church in Dixon. They have been blessed with three children, David (deceased), Deanna (Barb), and Mary (deceased); and special daughter-in-law Susan; four grandchildren, Mary Ellen (Missy), Teresa (Maghen), Samantha, and Nicholas; and

five great-grandchildren, Lauren, Carter, Jaron, Keaghen, and Amelia (deceased). After 19 years of retirement, they enjoy their time spent at home at Bee Happy Acres, caring for their many trees, flowers and vegetable gardens. Duane and Janis also enjoy volunteering, reading, and spending time with family and friends. They will celebrate with their family Sept. 29 with a special dinner.

Wolfes to celebrate 50th wedding anniversary Craig and Susan Wolfe will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Craig Wolfe and Susan Bruns were married Sept. 27, 1968, at Rock Falls United Methodist Church. They are the parents of three sons, Neil (Donna) Wolfe of Chesapeake, Virginia, Scott (Christina) Wolfe of Sterling, and Todd (Lisa) Wolfe of Elgin. They have eight grandchildren, Jack and Michael, Makayla, Mackenzie and Makenna, Patrick, and Lucy and Stella. The couple are both retired and reside in Rock Falls.

As a special way to preserve these memorable occasions, quarter-, half- or full-page announcements can be purchased. Paid announcements are determined by word count: no more than 125 words for a quarter page, no more than 250 words for a half page, and up to 340 words for a full page. Those paying for announcements will have the opportunity to proof them before publication. Customers will be called when the announcement is ready to be proofed. At that time, any corrections or additions can be made as needed at SVM’s Dixon and Sterling offices. For convenience, proofs will be emailed without calls whenever possible. Photos may be submitted in color or black and white, and in any size. Emailed photos should be in JPEG format with a resolution of 200 and a width of at least 5 inches for best quality. printed without photos if desired. Celebration forms are available at the Telegraph and Daily Gazette classified departments or by email. Sauk Valley Media is not responsible for errors due to unreadable information. A daytime phone number and email address (if available) are requested to help to ensure accuracy. Weddings are available in basic (free) form (one photo only of the couple), quarter-page paid (one photo), half-page paid (two photos), and full-page paid (up to four photos). The wedding form should be returned preferably within 2 to 4 months after the wedding date. Engagements are available in basic (free) form (one photo of the couple), two styles of quarter-page paid (one photo only), half-page paid (two photos), and full-page paid (up to four photos). who are gathering, or have gathered, for a family or class reunion. Reunion items will be edited due to space limitations, and lists of all those attending are not available in the free format. Photos also are not available for a free announcement, but can be used in any of the paid announcements. If a large group photo is submitted, only one can be used in the quarter-page format, one photo is recommended in the halfpage format, and up to four normally can be used in the full-page format. Large group photos with long lists of names may require at least a half-page paid announcement. Note: A group photo for a class reunion only can be submitted at no charge for the Scrapbook page of SV Weekend by email to photos@saukvalley.com or in person. Dave and Barbara Emmert of Dixon celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a buffet dinner at the Dixon VFW, hosted by their daughter, Trina Frieberg. Entertainment was provided by Richard “Duck” Sweitzer and the Rough Cuts, and Dave’s best friends from Open Mic in

Lanark and Dixon. Dave Emmert and Barbara Bates were married June 22, 1968, in Missouri. They are the parents of three children, Trina (Mike Warren), Jeremy ( Jenifer Sutton), and Eudora (Scot) Broege. They have 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Adrian Delgado and Susan Anderson Delgado will celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary Sept. 21, 2018. They were married in Galena by Pastor Cal Steiner of Door Creek Church in Madison, Wisconsin.

Both Sue and Adrian are from the Sauk Valley, but met for the first time in Madison, when they were both attendants in their mutual friends’ wedding. The couple have four children, Myles, Seth, Oliver, and Ella.
