Welcome to Westmont!

DEAR RESIDENTS AND GUESTS:

A warm Westmont welcome to all! The Village of Westmont is a wonderful community right in the heart of the greater Chicago metro area and we are thankful to enjoy such a friendly community. Westmont also enjoys the many guests that visit with us at our many businesses, events and activities throughout the year...a warm Westmont welcome to all. For those new to Westmont, please note that Westmont celebrated our 100th anniversary on November 10, 2021! Together we work as a community with our many organizations, residents and our businesses (all of which you can learn more about in this handy community guide). Our teamwork will help us plan and implement our future growth and success for the next 100 years of Westmont. To help keep connected throughout the year, visit the VIllage of Westmont website at www.westmont.illinois.gov for information on all things Westmont. Also, we recommend using the “Notify Me” option at the village website; this will allow you to receive emails and text messages and stay aware of events, news and any emergency weather situations. Everyone finds this information helpful, so please register to connect soon. Westmont also offers social media resources to keep all informed on an ongoing basis. Westmont is a great place to relax and stay healthy. While the Village of Westmont is five square miles and about 25,000 residents, our Westmont Park District offers over 150 acres of park property throughout the Village for use by all ages all yearround. Westmont also offers three golf courses to help keep us active and enjoying the great outdoors. In addition, recently Westmont welcomed the brand new FMC Natatorium at Ty Warner Park, an Olympic caliber swimming facility for all ages. Westmont also offers many fitness centers to help you get in your daily workouts and is bike friendly. Westmont residents also benefit greatly from our highperformance local community school districts, serving our children from preschool through post-high school levels. In support of our schools, our Westmont Public Library is second to none, offering a fully updated facility, latest technology, fantastic staff and programming for all ages. Enjoy this community resource and pay them a visit soon to experience firsthand our Westmont Public Library. Westmont offers our residents and guests a great range of shopping and dining experiences, with our 100+ dining destinations. You and your family and friends can dine around the world with so many types of menus available daily. It is the reason that I always remind everyone to shop, dine and discover Westmont for your pleasure and to keep our community strong and vibrant by shopping local. In closing, Westmont is truly a family-focused community with so much to offer our residents and guests. Westmont enjoys hosting many community-wide events held throughout the year. We thank our many great volunteers that share their time, skills and knowledge to make events like our Taste of Westmont, Holly Days, Red, White and BBQ, summer car shows, annual 5K races and so much more possible for everyone to enjoy. In 2022, everyone is looking forward to seeing more faces out and about to enjoy the community and everything Westmont offers.
