Thomas H.P. Jerusalem Photographer’s Bio: Thomas H.P. Jerusalem (AKA Jerry) is a German photographer living and working in Chicago. Thomas H.P. Jerusalem is specialized in fashion and conceptual photography. His work has been published on numerous occasions in international magazines, both online and print, and several photographs have won awards. He is listed in the ONE LIFE 2012 Catalog and has a portfolio at Italian VOGUE/PhotoVogue. His clients include, ad agencies, magazines, model agencies, publishing companies, designers and realtors. Jerry combines his background with his photography and style, creating vintage and surrealistic portraits of models in conceptual environments. His work includes dark romantic, edgy and vintage spaceage photography. Growing up during the Cold War in West Germany and reading his dad’s over-sized NY Photo Academy books from the sixties influenced his style. Since he didn’t speak English back then, the descriptive words to the pictures didn’t make too much sense, so he focused on the images instead. Images that are still blurry somewhere in his mind and that he now uses for inspirations of his work. Jerry started with Street Photography and Photojournalism, both very strong and expressive ways of photography. The passion and perfection that Jerry has for photography reflects in every image. Thomas H.P. Jerusalem is co-owner of Shooting Star Studios in St Charles, IL, a model management company combining Mother Agency work with conceptual, editorial and commercial Photography. He works with models of all levels of experience, from beginners to professional print, commercial and agency models. Each piece designed by Moussa has unique details, fits comfortably and looks elegant, especially his blouses which are made without zippers and are easy to wear. Moussa’s passion for designing began during his childhood, all the way to graduating from a fashion institute in Cote d’Ivoire. Moussa established a studio that he operated for about two years before moving it to South Africa. He has design studios in the capital city of Pretoria and the trendy city of Cop Town. Moussa has designed for various clients, from high-profile individuals to everyday women, including the First Lady at that time, Mrs. Mbeki. In 2005, Moussa moved to the United States and opened the doors of his studio in Philadelphia. He designs for clients with various backgrounds. Moussa moved to Chicago in 2011 and is now part of the great community of Chicago designers.

Jacqi was destined for fashion from the start. A very strong and close relationship with her grandmother led her to critique her grandmothers sewing and knitting at the age of 3. She always wanted the nicest, prettiest and most beautiful dress she could find, only to give her mother a heart attack while watching Jacqi play football in the mud with the boys. She swears this is what has led her to her creative style, constantly making opposites work together with such grace. Long talks with her grandmother and the love of sewing continued to fuel her desire to become a designer. Jacqi didn’t always enjoy socializing, so she looked to design to let out her feelings and communication. Her senior year in high school she won her first designing competition to help plunge her in to her future and passion. Jacqi graduated the institute of art-Schaumburg with a bachelors in fine arts. Days before graduation she was offered her first job working for White House Black Market. Jacqi gladly accepted the position and moved her life to Florida. In only 6 short months she was promoted to assistant manager of product development in dresses and woven tops. Although Jacqi loved her time and position in Florida, in her heart she wanted more from design. She wanted her name on the product she was creating. She took a risk and came back home to start up her own gig. This is what has led her to the release of Von Joc Fanell.

Grateful and humble for all the support they gave her, Scarlett didn’t think twice about naming her brand after her parents. ReynaMonroe is all about the empowerment of oneself. Scarlett is trying to encourage optimism and confidence through what her customers wear. Like Scarlett, so many people have at some point worried about how society is going to criticize us, and often times we are scared to just be ourselves, which reflects in the garments we wear. Scarlett attended Columbia College in Chicago. Although she hasn’t graduated yet due to the expense, she feels she can finish later and begin her career with her first collection coming out the Summer of 2014. Her goal is to finish her education and obtain her BFA in fashion design in the near future. Scarlett’s design aesthetic is bold, simple, sexy, and often times daring and fierce. Scarlett uses a lot of color and loves to mix patterns to try to get her clients to come out of that black and white box and dabble in the beauty of everything inbetween. It is not what you wear but how you wear it, and let your confidence shine through. Swimsuits, mens, and a kids line are also on the agenda. As of now, Scarlett is focusing on women, what the demand is, and how chic and creative can meet simple yet sexy. ReynaMonroe strongly believes what you wear is a reflection on how you feel and now what others perceive. No matter who you are, when you step out in this critical world with a smile on your face because you’re happy with your inner and outer beauty, the world will also recognize it.

There, she is studying Fashion Design and Sculpture. Alexandra was born in Holland, Michigan, but moved to the Chicago area to study fashion after high school. Sewing since she was ten years old, Alexandra has always been drawn to the arts. Other than her love for sewing, her other favorite mediums are plaster and wood. Her designs, both in fashion and art, are inspired by dark colors and powerful emotions. Her favorite color to work with, as well as wear, is black because it can easily be accessorized and given different looks. Alexandra gives her garments personalities by dyeing them by hand or adding special beadwork. After graduation, Alexandra wants to continue her breath-taking designs.
