The bride is the daughter of Eileen Lauts of Amboy and the late Gene Lauts. The groom is the son of the late Fred and Louise Hittlet. The matron of honor was Roxy Noble Stenzel. The best man was Rick Shoemaker. The bride is employed by Allied Locke Industries and the City of Amboy. The groom is retired from Commonwealth Edison-Exelon. The couple will take a honeymoon to Charleston, South Carolina in the future. The couple reside in Amboy and Dixon.

For 100th and older birthdays, SVM will publish free announcements in a paid format; the announcement size will be determined by the editor. Reunions are for area residents who are gathering, or have gathered, for a family or class reunion. Reunion items will be edited due to space limitations, and lists of all
those attending are not available in the free format. Photos also are not available for a free announcement, but can be used in any of the paid announcements. If a large group photo is submitted, only one can be used in the quarter-page format, one photo is recommended in the half-page format, and up to four normally can be used in the full-page format. Large group photos with long lists of names may require at least a half-page paid announcement. Note: A group photo for a class reunion only can be submitted at no charge for the Scrapbook page of SV Weekend by email to photos@saukvalley.com or in person. For publication in Celebrations, class reunions of 70 years and more will be available in the quarter-page format at no charge, with a photo allowed. Birthday celebration planned for Rock Falls woman Geneva Dussler of Rock Falls will celebrate her 103rd birthday with an open house at 9:45 a.m. Jan. 27, 2019, at New Life Lutheran Church in Sterling. Geneva was born Jan. 28, 1916, at home in New Lisbon, Wisconsin, to Sara Larsen Lawrence and Andrew Lawrence. She was one of nine children, six girls and three boys. One sister, JoAnn Ritchart, and one brother, Robert Lawrence, still are living. She married John Dussler on June 16, 1936. He was born July 10, 1909, and passed away April 21, 1987.
They adopted one child from Nachusa Lutheran Orphanage, named Virginia Henson, who was born April 29, 1948, and died Aug. 4, 2011. Virginia was married to Alfred Johnson and they had two sons, Adam and August and a daughter, Wynn. August was born Aug. 1942, and he is married to Gemma Johnson. They have three children, Isabella, Ian and Ivan. Wynn is married to Philip Wali and their children are Jennifer, and a son, Onyekachi Eliza Wali.
