The Lee County Council on Aging, Senior Transportation, and the Lee-Ogle Transportation System will be closed on Monday, May 31, in observance of Memorial Day. We will re-open on Tuesday, June 2.

If we are able to resume Day Trips to area events or places this fall, where would you like to go? Shopping?? Entertainment?? Sightseeing ?? Bingo is coming back LCCOA!!
Week after week, someone asks, “When is Bingo coming back?” And we always have to say: “No, sorry, but COVID-19 is not gone.” Covid Restrictions have loosened up, and we are warming up the cage! Beginning on Friday, May 14, at 1 p.m., BINGO IS BACK AT LCCOA!! To maintain our social distancing, only 12 players will be allowed per afternoon. Seats are available by reservation only. Call LCCOA to reserve your seat at the table!! 815-288-9236.
LCCOA sidewalk sales are back!!
Our Sidewalks Sales have resumed, from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Fridays, (weather permitting). All Items are 25 cents; proceeds benefit the programs of the LCCOA and the Senior Center. Items available vary from week to week.
The LCCOA spring FUNDrive continues into May
The FUNDrive is gathering gently used mens, womens and childrens clothing for all seasons. The drive is also collecting blankets, covers and sheets, shoes and sneakers, belts and purses of all shapes and sizes. The deadline for gathering is Monday, May 10. (Please use 13-gallon bags, or 30-gallon bags if you have them.) If you have any questions, please call 815-288-9236 – No act of kindness, however small, is ever wasted. Thank you for your kindness.
Covid vaccine for seniors
Call the Health Department at 815-284-3371 to make an appointment to get your Covid-19 vaccinations. Then, you can call LCCOA Senior Transportation at 815-2889236 for a free ride to and from your vaccinations.
2021 membership drive continues
Lee County Council on Aging provides services to all seniors and disabled individuals in Lee County. We are experiencing increased requests for services, at a time when our grant income is shrinking, as grant providers have cut back. Your membership and extra donations continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Lee County Seniors – our families, friends, and neighbors! You have helped us so much with your Memberships and Gifts in the past! Please renew today! We need you more than ever!

We make daily trips to County Market, Oliver’s Market, Aldi’s and Wal-Mart.
You may carry 3 packages per trip; each additional package will be charged a fee.
How about a ride to the park to enjoy the afternoon? We can take you there to meet up with your friends or to enjoy the afternoon with a book.
Seniors 60+ ride for $1 each way in town.
Need an escort? One escort rides free with you to your medical trip.
Every vehicle is sanitized in between each passenger to ensure passenger safety.
All passengers must wear a mask while riding the vehicle.
