in case power goes out or we get snowed in! Some great things to have easy access to are flashlights, bottled water, canned goods, bread, peanut butter, and nonperishable snacks. If you need food items to keep on reserve, please visit our Food Pantry every Thursday at the Center from 1-3 p.m. As of Jan. 1, the Food Pantry sign-ups will begin at 11 a.m. Our Food Pantry will be open from 1-3 p.m. Also, make sure your medications are up to date and easily accessible with a bottle of water to take them with! As winter is approaching, please be aware of closings. We strive to keep everyone safe, including our staff. We put our closings on our Facebook page and on our answering machine.
We had over 200 people at the Center to get photos with Santa, decorate cookies, make reindeer food, write letters to Santa, get their faces painted, and enjoy a free meal! Be on the lookout for our next event for the whole family!
We hosted two steak and egg breakfasts for our veterans, serving over 100 veterans each breakfast. During the winter months, we will be having a Veterans Coffee and Donuts, at 9 a.m. on the second Thursday of each month. We saw over 200 children for our Trunk or Treat in October and had over 10 vendors to hand out candy — mark your calendars, we will have this again in 2025!
$25 a year for a single person or $35 for two people living in the same household. We also have gift certificates if you would like to give a loved one a membership to the Senior Center! Remember, it is great to be part of a wonderful commUNITY!

Kick off the new year by supporting our seniors: Join the Lee County Council on Aging
As we welcome the new year, the Lee County Council on Aging (LCCOA) invites the community to make a meaningful resolution: Support our seniors by joining our annual membership drive. Membership is vital to sustaining LCCOA’s programs and resources, which enrich the lives of older adults across Lee County, helping them to stay engaged, active, and connected.

Membership contributions allow LCCOA to enhance programs such as our popular chair yoga, senior transportation, health and wellness classes, and educational workshops. Our mission is simple but impactful: to ensure seniors can live with dignity and enjoy quality lives.
Your membership makes a difference
One-third of our funding is supported by Reagan Mass Transit, and another third is funded through NIAAA and Lee County. However, the remaining third of our budget comes from community contributions — memberships and donations from people like you. Every membership dollar goes directly to programs and activities that empower seniors, help them maintain independence, and ensure they feel valued and supported.
