LCCOA honors our members who are Veterans Nov. 11 Veterans can enter to win an Afghan throw or a quilt. Members of the First Congregational United Church of Christ of Lee Center have quilted or crocheted beautiful red-white-and-blue covers or lap throws to express gratitude and appreciation to the Veterans of the United States Armed Forces. Sidewalk Sale continues — 500 items sold so far!! 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. every Friday until it snows You will not want to miss our spectacular sidewalk sale. We will have something for everyone. All funds will help pay for our furnace. LCCOA has been inching our way to pay for our new furnace; with your help

Brand new December project for seniors! We’re going to publish your submissions! We’re going to publish an “Everything Book”, filled with inspirational sayings from our parents – like “Because I told you so!”; emotion-stirring poems; mouth-watering recipes; “Do you remember that time when I ...?” stories. A working title might be “Back In My Day ... ”, or “Before I forget ... ” Looking forward to seeing some Christmas cookie recipes. Or perhaps some Christmas wishes poems. Santa’s Workshop postponed until next year Sadly, there is no Santa’s Workshop this year. We just don’t have enough room to maintain social distancing for such a popular event. Tell the younger ones that Santa plans to have his Workshop up and running next year.
