GOLDEN ECHO

From the LCCOA

Thanks, Etnyre, for our tech upgrades!

Thanks to a wonderful grant from Etnyre, LCCOA has been able to update our public senior computer library with the latest technology and big screens for easy reading. These computers are located in front of our Outreach office, and our assistant activities coordinator, Aaliyah, is here every day in the summer to assist you! Call to make sure she is available, and not busy leading a Bingo game or helping with Wheel of Fortune or another tech corner client.

Speaking of games ...

That’s right: Bingo is back, on July 12 at 10:30 a.m.; and Wheel of Fortune on July 19 at 11 a.m. — then stay for lunch.

Hearing impaired? Need a phone?

But that’s not all the technology we now have at the Center. Check out our FREE phones for the hearing-impaired. We have the latest technology to provide easyto-use closed captions for landlines — no internet necessary. If you have one of our hearing-impaired landlines, contact Anna to get this device to hook up to your phone. If it’s been 3 years since you received your phone, come back and see us again. An additional phone is permitted every 3 years! Are you using only a cell phone nowadays? We have FREE iPhones for those who could benefit from enhanced hearing products. iPhones can be updated every 3 years too! Better yet, come to the Center on July 10 from 9 a.m.-noon and have a FREE hearing test by Connect Hearing.

If you could benefit from one or two of these phones, they will be able to certify your need on the application. These phones are free to all individuals with a hearing issue because of the taxes you’ve been paying on your phone bills all these years. This is your chance to get some of that money back while
