Going from politics to petunias: Festival finds a new home downtown
Alex T. Paschal/apaschal@saukvalley.com
The Petunia Festival put down roots in downtown Dixon in June when organizers moved into their new headquarters at 77 Hennepin Ave. The site at River Street and Hennepin Avenue – the former Democratic Party headquarters – will be the place to go for all things Petunia Fest. A new sign on the building was fashioned after a hand-painted sign found in an old photo. This year’s festival will be July 3-7. Visit petuniafestival.org for more information.
