New Technology with Snowboards

Since the 1970s, snowboarding has been one of the most popular winter sports. It's hard to beat the adrenaline rush of flying down a mountain. With the help of new technology, riders can enjoy a better experience while keeping track of their board and body fundamentals. Smart Phones Due to the increasing popularity of smartphones, it is no surprise that professional athletes are using them to improve their performance. For instance, Jake Burton, a renowned snowboarder, partnered with Nokia to create a device that monitors his vitals and board stats. The device, which has sensors attached to a rider's board, monitors various aspects of their body, such as heart rate, velocity, and board alignment. Data collected by the device is transferred to a snowboarder's phone through DCIM software. Another company, Cerveo, has developed Bluetooth-enabled snowboard bindings that monitor various aspects of a rider's body, such as weight allocation and speed. These high-tech devices, designed to communicate with riders, feature LED lights that show their location and any modifications they might make during a run. Rockers The use of rocker-camber technology is expected to change the way riders ride. Instead of having to deal with the dreaded edge-catches, these new boards will allow riders to float over the snow without getting stuck. Most snowboards feature rocker-camber technology, and most riders only need one. These versatile boards can handle different activities, such as carving a halfpipe, going down a steep trail, and exploring the countryside. These boards are great for beginner riders as they offer deeper side-cuts and a stronger distribution of force. The rocker-camber technology of snowboards helps riders perform well in all conditions, especially when dealing with deep snow and fresh powder. Its slightly elevated tail and nose allow riders to glide effortlessly through turns and jumps without catching snow. Although adjustment periods will be required for riders who have not tried rocker-camber technology yet, they will most likely be surprised by how it works. Gear The origins of snowboarding can be traced back to the rope handle used to hold two skis together. Over the years, the sport has evolved into a high-tech product that includes various accessories such as goggles and boots. Some of the coolest new products that have been introduced are the Exoskeleton and the Back Protector by Flaxta. The latter is made from a Nitrile Butadiene Rubber panel that has the right balance of hardness and softness to provide a layer of protection against spinal injuries. The Exoskeleton is made from a material similar to knee braces, providing a 20 percent increase in strength. Riders can use it to improve their performance and make it easier to stay on the slopes. This product comes with a lithium-ion battery and an air compressor. The Exoskeleton uses sensors to communicate with the body, which then provides the right amount of assistance. Currently, this product is only available for skiers. However, a user who tried it during a session noted that it was very useful.
