Creative Thoughts
Know My Story What put me on the road to graphic design started off with admiring hairstyles and fingernail art. I was ten when my mom allowed me to get my nails professionally done for the first time. I thought that wearing acrylic nails was just the most creative thing. I loved the design and colors. By the time I was 13 hair had become my new obsession. I found myself being more excited about going to the hair salon then going to the local amusement park. My mom tool notice to my interest and purchased a manikin with hair for me to practice on. Around the dame time I took interest in hair my uncle received a paid internship at Walt Disney. I always knew he was a great artist, but I did not know that people go paid for drawing (I was young). After visiting my uncle’s studio I started drawing and I was kind of good at it. But drawing did not excite me as much as hair did. All though high school I continued to do friends and family hair. My junior year I was approached by my art teacher, she asked me if it was ok if she use some of my past assignments as examples in an art presentation for her sophomore classes. It was a huge complement. A year later I become her student aid. That’s when I was introduced to Adobe software. Mrs. Connell showed me how to scan images into the computer and manipulate them. Shortly after I graduated from high school. During this time my uncle was excelling in the street fashion community. I saw how hard he worked but I also saw how much fun he had doing what he loved, working with celebrities and traveling. This is when the idea of computers and design really hit me. I saw how computers could create almost anything, even fashion. I started attending CSN and decided to make computer graphics my major.

She Knows Her Worth
Hairology
My hair rises, my hair falls, My roots thicken, a perm calls; Natural hair color as sandy and brown Now I'm ready to hit the town!, And my hair rises, my hair falls. "I'm ready for you" my stylist calls, After my wash, the waters all over the walls; Hair’s now dry, straight and silky, all mine, No one can ever take my shine, And my hair rises, my hair falls "You're all done"; from a distance someone calls Shining with bounce, my hair quickly falls; What a difference, with each curl All which makes me a beautiful girl, And my hair rises, my hair falls.
