Are we catching up? Fashion in the western has been impacted with ‘fast’ and so forth the methodology of business model. E-commerce like Net-a-porter has reported a huge growth in sales volume. Even today, major magazines hire bloggers to report ongoing events in real-time. It seems like fast is the new element everybody favors and no one seems to harass. Back then people were led to believe that fashion had everything to do with glamorous models on the cover page. But what really drives the industry is people behind those elegance tear sheets you adhered on your bedroom wall. People like Anna Wintour helps designers meet with entrepreneurs which prevented them from near bankruptcy. Drama queen or drag queen is just a small potato story you laugh at the end of the day. Fashion is business, not drama series. Here’s what I’m trying to say: my magazine will shed light onto the blog culture, people inside the industry and hidden talent in far East [Thailand for now] like the designers to gain more exposure and help young aspiring photographers find themselves. We’d like to nurture them and help strengthen those with potential but left with no option. Here’s the shot you call. Sirapha Chalermverapong Editor in Chief

It’s Rock’n’Roll again. Fashion influences of the 80’s are pretty much revolved around women being distinctive. Iconically dressed with a complete-in-1 high-waist jumpsuit and a chunky gold charms from the 60’s. To completely revive the look, the girls had been styled on 80’s hair bows. Same with Marc Jacobs on the vintage SS‘10 collection.

Lots of neutral tones for SS’11 collection. But say no more, it seems minimalism has gotten the best out of many shoppers/fashionistas around the globe, weaven by the stark reality of being ‘accessible’ and all the while wearable. Speaking of which, Anna Wintour kicked it off with FNO NY 2010 - minding that fashion is for everyone.

“Tricia will go places!” http://triciawillgoplaces.tumblr.com/ By: Sirapha Chalermverapong Thank you for joining our interview. I love your self-portrait. Tell us a little bit about yourself, how did you get started in photography? » I’m Tricia Gosingtian, a 21-year-old photographer-model-fashion blogger from Manila, Philippines. I started photography professionally in 2007, when I was still in college, but I was already into it way back in highschool. I owe it pretty much to my fascination for Japanese culture, which led me to discover their lovely taste in fashion, as well as their quirky sense of aesthetics in general. I loved Japanese magazines, and eventually, my focus shifted from the clothes to the actual photographs and how nicely they were taken.
What’s the hardest thing in photography or in that matter, fashion industry? » One of the hardest things I’ve experienced so far in both photography and the fashion industry is making people realize my value and brand, since it’s pretty rare to find someone as young as me regularly gracing the pages of local magazines and I guess it’s hard for some people, who don’t have any idea who I am and what I’ve already done, to take me seriously as a professional.
If you weren’t a photographer, where do you see yourself situated in the fashion industry? » Most probably making clothes!
“I guess it’s hard for
some people, who don’t have any idea who I am and what I’ve already done, to take me seriously as a professional.” Asides from taking pictures, what do you usually do in spare time? » I do a lot of things – I deem myself a creative entrepreneur. I also get modeling and styling work, and I love playing with hair and make-up too. On normal days, I like to splurge on food and spend some of my earnings to get myself new clothes or shoes, just like any other young woman would do. You have been featured in so many magazines and that’s considered an achievement at this point. Any suggestion to the youngsters who are fascinated by fashion but don’t know where to start? » I think it’s really important to be different and unique. There are so many people in the world, and it would really help if you had something to offer that other people can’t.

I guess saying Alexander McQueen ankle boots are to die for is not an overstatement! Designed with golden wings embroided to the sides with a zipper-front (just how cosy it can get after a long walk?), minor detail includes a designer embossed skull zipper.
Wear it with long aligned skirt to instant boost the classic look! Alexander McQueen ankle boots would perfectly fit from glam rocker to classic chic.
Burberry Prorsum Cavalry python thighhigh boots are dreamy. A piece of investment. Its utility boundary is entirely up to your imagination. Thighhigh is wearable with almost anything; maxi dress, skirt, shorts & jeans. Very easy to mix and match to any look desirable.
Just Another

“Just Another” is an open question meant to gain better unstanding of societies outside fashion industry. Here’s the poised question: what’s your take on fashion? bad; on the brighter side, the way you dress is simplified (think about the corset).
Should an individual be so delved into fashion so passionately?
Janyarat Lapnikonchai (25) Master Degree student Thailand
In general terms, what do you think about fashion ?
Something contemporary and ever changing which cannot be limited by time.
Referring to the word ‘fashion ’ or the ‘world of fashion ’, what can you tell about that?
Something to do with wardrobe, how you put your clothes on, makeup, hairdressing, designers and models.
Do you think wearing designer clothes can make you look good?
Not necessary. Designer clothes originated from the designers imagination – not everybody can look good in designer clothes.
What do you think fashion can offer to people?
New inspiration which can be either good or
Depends on each person, if you’re really into it then it doesn’t matter. But you must be aware when you hit that edge when it destroys you or others.
Balmain Spring 2011, Vogue.com
What do you think is the worst fashion mistake women make? To get too attached to brand names and overlook the designers’ flaw.
Do you love fashion? Not particularly but nothing against it.
Are you nervous about the industry?
Not really. You don’t have to be in fashion to be happy.

In general terms, what do you think about fashion ?
What do you think fashion can offer to people?
Beauty and freedom of choice to pick what looks suitable on you.
It can fulfill someone and make him/her feel as a ‘whole’ inside.
Referring to the word ‘fashion ’ or the ‘world of fashion ’, what can you tell about that?
Should an individual be so delved into fashion so passionately ?
New ideas and products such as clothes, fabrics, bags, shoes, perfume, accessories and the attention you’d get wearing them.
Do you think wearing designer clothes can make you look good? If the silhouette isn’t right, wearing excellent fabric won’t make you look good.
As long as it doesn’t trouble others it is okay.
What do you think is the worst fashion mistake women make? Plus size women wearing strapless top.
Do you love fashion?
I like it but buying is also limited by budget you have.
Are you nervous about the industry? Nannapad Choksuwanloet (27) Master Degree student Thailand
In general terms, what do you think about fashion ?
Generally Fashion is where we express our deep feelings that can never be expressed through words. It widens our imagination and we discover new things.
Referring to the word ‘fashion ’ or the ‘world of fashion’, what can you tell about that?
The World of Fashion is full of new trends and discoveries, a person involved into this is called “fashionista(s)” which means a person who is really good when it comes to new discoveries and mixing up new trends.
Do you think wearing designer clothes can make you look good?
I think no, because designers only give us options, because the beauty of fashion comes from our personality and it reflects us as an individual.
So you may have heard
Sometimes especially when people looking at you – you can think of 2 things; it’s either you look good or weird.
of Project Runway, ANTM, Devil Wears Prada, what’s your take on the shows/movie?
These shows are very nice, because they highlight fashion and they help the people in discovering new things, new trends, and the changes in our society.
What do you think fashion can offer to people?
Fashion gives us a lot of opportunities, it can help us develop our imagination and thinking capacity and we can express more of our feelings.
Should an individual be so delved into fashion so passionately?
For me is No. because fashion comes from an individual personality, taste, and mood. there are a lot of new trends in the fashion industry, but mostly people would stick on their style but they never close their doors in new trends and opinions from other people.
What do you think is the worst fashion mistake
women make?
One of the major problems that people encounter in fashion is the color harmony that gives me sometimes a headache when I see colors which are not appropriate for their skin tone or their style.
Are you nervous about the industry?
I’m not really nervous on what may happen in our industry specifically in fashion industry, because every year there are a lot of new trends and every more than 10 years they are brought back. It just means that fashion is very redundant its just like a wheel that keeps on turning.

Interpretation of Color and source of Inspiration Mediterranean Discotheque Florence established Emilio Pucci took inspiration from Mediterranean to design this summer look on runway. The mind mapping has a deep root plunged back to seventies vibe and Greece which gives an ocean blue, sandy brown color palette. Peter Dundas briliantly revamped a once emerging style dated in Autumn 2007 to Summer 2011 statement pieces. And the most intriguing part is the openning statement piece on Freja Beha which features a trailed train of cascading ruffles additional to the two unique features of seventies vibe [cutaway armholes and halter necklines].

no-holds-barred It’s the 40th anniversary! What Robert Cavalli brought to the show was a full-fledge maximalism inspired by the age of hippies and flower power in seventies vibe. A very clever choice of color palette that otherwise would have been excessively overloaded. Hippies originated from a dramatic change in the political, the assination of President JFK, the Vietnam War. The hippies are a group of people who choose not to conform to normal culture trends. They dress the way they feel comfort in and are bold in their sense of style.

The Will of McQueen Paris is all about inspirations. If you ask me I think this is the most optimal commemoration to Alexander McQueen’s anniversary. Sarah Burton added what seems subliminal to previous collection with a sense of woman’s touch, thus enriched the sense of feminism to utmost fanatical. But four months before the show started, she and her team had been challenged with tight timeline - whether the team could deliver the essence of McQueen that has forayed the brand signature to the public eyes. Pedigree preserved. Every inches of spirit imbued emerges through the construction of dramatic tailored silhouette. A piece that somebody would have thought never could have been done; leather leaves, ten layers hand-frayed silk not to mention the cornhusk doll technique of the house. Exhibitive yet feasible.

Clothes and jewellery should be startling, individual. When you see a woman in my clothes, you want to know more about them. To me, that is what distinguishes good designers from bad designers. Alexander McQueen (17 March 1969 – 11 February 2010)
