Benjamin Zephaniah is well known for his much loved novels and poetry for children. He is one of the best performance poets in the world and his performances are always lively, inspiring and great fun. There’s no better celebration of rhythm and rhyme than at his Poetry Party and in this performance, Benjamin invites schools to join in the fun, offering some young poets the chance to join him on stage and perform too!

Long–standing host of Radio Four’s News Quiz and Excess Baggage and regular QI panelist, Sandi promises a brilliantly witty evening of stand–up, stories and fascinating facts. Sandi will be signing copies of Valentine Grey (Virago) after the show.

Continuing their smash-hit sell-out tour, triple Olivier award-nominated, global internet sensation, Fascinating Aida are still Britain’s best comedy cabaret trio. This show will include several numbers hot off the press alongside a few old favourites; including their infamous anthem to budget travel, Cheap Flights (9 million hits on YouTube) as well as the Dogging Song, a fond homage to the joys of al fresco sex.

Benjamin Zephaniah is one of the UK’s most high profile and best loved performance poets known for his powerful poetry with a political edge. Strongly influenced by the music and poetry of Jamaica, his mission has been to take poetry everywhere and he has toured all over the world. This is a rare chance to hear him perform live, and always keen to help give a voice to new young writers, Benjamin will be joined tonight by three rising stars on the poetry scene – Sanasino, James Massiah and Katherine Henderson.
